-I like that quote, it's very wise. -It's been some time since I read anything by Wodehouse. -We have several fruit trees in our yard. -There's a very small lemon tree, from which we've managed to get a few pretty good lemons. -We also have an orange tree, but it's not giving much fruit. -We once tried making orange juice from a few oranges we got, and it didn't come out well. -There's a peach tree, too, and it gives a lot of peaches. -There used to be two peach trees, but I don't know quite what happened to the other one. -Somewhere in the back of the yard is a fruit tree that we can't clearly identify. -Father said it was a kumquat tree, I think. -There was also a guava tree, although I don't think it gives fruit anymore. -I ate a guava once, and hated it.

-Morning, Snicket-Face. -It's been a while since I read any Wodehouse, too. -But I think I've read all the Jeeves and Woosters. -And I never much liked the others. -We get them on audio sometimes, though. -Maybe we should start getting the Snickets on audio tape or CD, if we're out of things to listen to. -Although that would only really be an excuse to get the audio songs. -Mother seems to be asleep. -I suspect the same of Father. -I don't know what my brother's doing, but he's also silent. -The only thing I can hear is the humming of the computer, the ticking of the clock, and the tapping of keyboard keys. -I'm not sure if it's still raining outside. -What with all the water on the window, it's hard to tell. -I think it may have stopped, though. -But the sky still looks very grey. -I'm feeling quite well now. -Although my glasses seem to be smudged once again. -If anyone likes comparing times, it's 1:40pm here. -Say, that's quite late. -We mustn't have had lunch until quite a while after twelve... -In fact, I don't think we ate until around one, but I'm not entirely sure. -New pencils and pens seem to spontaneously come into being on this desk. -There's now an extra black biro, and a very short red pencil (note: in colour only; it does not write in red).

-Maybe the pens and pencils appearing on your desk are ones that I've lost. -I've certainly lost a few pens and pencils recently. -I'm playing Grow RPG. -It's very addictive. -I don't like the first Grow game much, but I like Grow RPG and Grow Cube. -I only have one Snicket audiobook, and I think I'll wait for them to release that CD with all the audiobook songs. -That probably won't be out until some time after Book 13 is, though. -From what I've heard of the songs, I really like them.

-I really like what I've heard of the songs, too. -But that CD probably won't be out for over a year. -Maybe I should just rent them somewhere. -My parents would probably prefer that, anyway. -Grow RPG is fun. -I don't much like the first Grow, either. -It seems less logical, and it's not so bright and colourful. -Now it's definitely raining outside. -How miserable. -And 2pm already. -Did I just hear footsteps? -Yes. -Somebody must be up and about. -See, the clock just struck. -And it's awoken Mother. -And there's the grandfather clock. -Excuse me while I go and fetch Mother a glass of water. -*sigh* -Well, I'm back. -Hopefully, my family will go out for a walk - in the rain - soon, so that I can get some peace and quiet.

-I was thinking of checking out all the ASoUE audiobooks and making a tape of the songs, but I couldn't find them at the library. -They're pretty expensive at the bookstores, too. -The sky outside looks a bit cloudy. -I hope the weather's better today than it's been these past few days. -According to the thermometer, the humidity is 70%, which is more than it has been recently. -I hope it stays like that, because I hate dry weather. -I'm going to visit my grandmother at her new house soon. -I haven't seen her in months, although Father's been visiting her every once in a while. -We're also going to a shopping center that's not far from where she lives.

-We have an instrument which is supposed to tell humidity and weather and stuff. -I think it's a barometer, although I can't remember. -I also think it's a family heirloom. -Let me go see what it says. -... -Well, the long hand is pointing between "Fair" and "Change." -It's resting between the number 8, and a large number 30. -The small gold hand is more to the right, pointing just right of "Fair." -It's between a 4 and a 6. -Now if only I knew what all that meant. -My parents and brother have gone out for a walk. -I had to help Mother with dinner for a while. -I had to peel onions, which always hurt my eyes. -On the bright side, I got some tomato purée. -I hope you have a nice time at your grandmother's house, Antenora. -I don't know if the nearby library has aSoUE available for rent in audio format. -Probably not. -I could hear the wind howling a moment ago, but now it's just the clock, the computer and the keys again. -I just went over to examine a strange item of yellow plastic hanging on a nearby chair. -It turned out to be some amusing game in liquid, in which you had to press buttons in order to direct some hoops into a little bucket, or something. -I fiddled with it for quite a while before wondering why.

-I have a bunch of those liquid-filled games someplace. -I used to be fairly addicted to playing with them. -I think I have one that no longer has any liquid in it, because it either leaked or just dried up. -My maternal grandparents have a very old barometer. -We might have had one, once. -There was an interesting editorial in the paper about celebrities giving their children strange names like Moon Unit and Fifi Trixabelle. -It mentioned some odd names from the 16th century: Philadelphia Bunnyface, Abraham Thunderwolf, and Offspring Gurney. -I like writing down strange names, mostly because I wish I'd made them up myself. -One of the cats just climbed up the screen door.

-Strange names are pretty interesting, when they're not humiliating. -I noticed that just about every character in some of the dramas on TV here have odd names. -Or at least, they did whenever it was that I looked. -And knowing my memory, that could have been years ago. -If you're writing a book, strange names would be useful if you intend it to become extraordinarily famous. -We used to get old liquid games here and there. -I can't remember any now, though. -Just that one. -Although I think we probably did have others like it. -*cough* *cough* -Today has gone very quickly. -I think that's because my mornings seem very short. -I imagine the dull weather doesn't help. -My family has been back a while now. -I'm not sure if it was still raining while they were out. -I think it's stopped raining now. -There are a few browning leaves on the lawn. -The sky's still completely grey. -All in all, it's a fairly unpleasant day. -On the bright side, I would say I'm almost recovered from my cold. -I've only got the cough now. -Most of my colds start with a runny nose and a sore throat, and then I get bad headaches for a short time, and they end with a bad cough. -This one has been relatively short. -Only three days, and only one of those days was really bad. -My right middle finger is pretty sore right now. -Darn it, Mother's just told me she wants us to do some serious work on dinner again soon. -I spend too much of my Saturday afternoons wasting my time on her stupid cooking.

I think its even more fun to be a technical adult and act childish then to be a child and act childish. Because its expected of you in the latter. Though I realize that it is slightly annoying that whenever we're all laughing someone has to think we're drunk or high or something. It's not the only to have a good time people. I'm just perpetually hig on life or something. Vaccums are loud. I totally spelled that wrong. How very Mark Twain of me. I feel bad just sitting here and typing while my mom is cleaning all over the place. Maybe I should make myself look busy and pretend to clean the desk.

-I bought a flute today. -I'm going to learn how to play next week. -I know how to read music and my teacher said that's the hardest part. -My Amazon book won't be delivered until Monday, at least, it seems. -*sigh* -I climbed a hill that's close to where I live today. -It's called Howth. -Some of you may know of it, but I doubt it. -Anyway, you can see most of my city from up there and the views are amazing. -I forgot my camera. -But I go there pretty often. -There'll be more chances. -I've started writing my first fanfiction. -It's the history of Esmé and Olaf's relationship. -I've written 4 chapters so far and I think it's good. -I'll post it next week some time. -I want Book the Twelfth. - -Soon. -I sent my 667er article to Akbar. -Tomorrow should be a good day, weatherwise. -Overcast, but staying dry. Temperatures reaching up to sixteen degrees. -Hehe: sixteen. -I like that number.
