-I've discovered that my dental surgery will require me to be away nearly all day, if not all day. -I expect to be very, very bored. -Definitely in the morning, which it seems will mostly be spent waiting to be taken in. -Fortunately, I have a few books that I haven't read. -In Tutorial the week before last - I think - then my form tutor handed out booklets for various universities, for reasons I forget. -I think it was so we could look through them for courses I like. -I think I already have such a booklet in my room somewhere. -I'm probably going to the university in my city. -That way, I don't have to move out of home. -Anyway, I've been out for a while walking. -I took a few pictures. -And others which were less interesting. -I feel tired now. -And rather bored. -I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. -I have no problem with the actual surgery, but it's all the boredom the rest of the time that worries me. -I get bored very easily. -I don't know how many books are in my room. -I've never counted them. -There are probably a fair few, though. -And that's not counting all the ones I had shifted up to the loft recently. -I don't think I'm particularly vulnerable to any disasters where I live. -Or at least, I should hope I'm not. -Watching Horizon doesn't help. -Every other episode seemed to be about some way in which we're all going to die. -It got dreadfully repetitive, so I stopped watching it.

-I've been reading The Book of Predictions. -It was published a couple decades ago, so it has some interestngly wrong predictions about how things should be now. -According to one article in that book, human cloning would be(? I'm not sure what verb tense I should use) possible and widespread in 2002. -And another said that by now, we should have devices that let you project any sort of scenery you wanted onto your living room walls. -Each wall would be like a screen, and you could change the scenery instantly, to make it look like you were in any building you wanted to be in. -For all I know, some people have those. -I told Father about this prediction, and he says Bill Gates probably has a room-scenery-changer device. -The prediction stated that they'd be fairly common, though. -That book also has a scary article about what would happen if a nuclear bomb hit one of the big cities in the US. -I'm not in a big city, but if one near me got bombed, I would probably be in danger, because the effects of bombs are so far-reaching. -A nuclear bombing isn't that likely, though. -On more positive matters, I'm just about finished with my literature homework. -And I'm about half finished with my short college application essay, which is due on Tuesday and deals mainly with good teachers I've had, and how I'm looking for such teachers at college. -I have a lot of college pamphlets lying about. -I actually got handed one at the craft fair yesterday. -Some college had a booth there, as did all sorts of groups. -I think I lost the pamphlet, though.

-We used to sometimes get people in assemblies who'd hand out leaflets, at school. -They were mostly leaflets advertising religious groups, though. -Although once some people were handing out pocket bibles. -And recently, some kids at the top of the drive at the end of school were handing out leaflets of some sort, advertising what seemed to be some sort of club named - brace yourselves for a truly painful attempt at humour - Detention. -Oh, how very droll. -"Hey guys, I'm going to Detention tonight! Want to join me?" -Bah. -Lousy vermin. -I think quite a few people threw their leafets to the floor, and while I don't generally advocate littering, if I had taken one of those leaflets I would probably have done exactly the same thing. -There wasn't a bin nearby, anyway. -We need more of those. -Anyway! -I've had dinner. -As ever, it tasted disgusting. -If one can't look forward to meals, then what good is there in getting up in the mornings? -The awful taste lingers in my mouth for hours, and just won't go away no matter what I do. -It's most unpleasant. -Anyway! -I think I've heard of those hypothetical scenery-changing walls. -Or maybe I read a book set in the future, where walls reacted to music or to people's emotions or something. -Appearance-changing walls seems to be a common prediction for the future. -Anyway! -Anyway...

-I got more college things in the mail yesterday, but didn't see them until today. -There was something from the University of Texas, apparently inviting me to an orientation there. -My last name was misspelled on the envelope. -It's weird how much of the college mail I get spells my last name wrong. -There must have been some error with some form that got sent to all the colleges, or something. -When I get weird college mail, I usually take a brief look at it, and then throw it out. -I still feel sick. -I can't afford to miss school tomorrow, though. -I already had to put off a group presentation thing in Spanish class due to being sick last week, and I really want to get it over with. -The presentation doesn't seem particularly hard, but I'll have to memorize things, which I always have some trouble with. -At least I'm finished with the Literature assignment that's due tomorrow. -I was absent the day it was assigned, so I had to do some catching-up.

Maybe you mispelled your name on the PSATs.
The colleges that usually send mail aren't generally very interesting.
I'm so excited to eat my personal pizzas.
I hope my parents go out to eat because I'd like to eat my mini pizzas in peace.
And I'd like to wait as long as I want to retrieve them from teh oven after they beep, instead of having someone else yell at me to get them, or remove them.
I have the hiccups.
I have a buttload of homework.

-How were the pizzas, Char? -Good, I hope. -I just had a late dinner. -My dad barbecued burgers. -They were good. -I have a song that I loathe stuck in my head. -Grrrr.

My pizzas were perfection.
Thank you for asking.

I wish my dad would barbecue burgers.
I feel really sick.
But I have to go to school.

Maybe you mispelled your name on the PSATs.. -Possibly, although that'd certainly be embarrassing. -I make stupid mistakes when filling out forms sometimes. -Speaking of mistakes, someone delivered a weird package to our house a couple of days ago. -It was apparently for someone with the same last name as my family. -The package was a gift bag containing some things wrapped in paper--I didn't unwrap them--and a letter explaining that it was a memorial to someone who had died at the high school. -It wasn't anyone I knew. -I took the package to the Attendance office this morning. -The Spanish presentation didn't go as well as I hoped. -I got nervous, and my group members apparently said some lines out of order, which threw me off. -Tomorrow, I think I'll have a test in Photography, on how to load film onto a reel and place it in a light-proof container. -Mr B says he'll make us do the test with our eyes closed, because in reality we'd do it in the darkroom. -I hope I can do that tomorrow, as it's the sort of thing I'd like to get over with.

-I know a lot about photography. -Following directions on the internet, I built a Pintoid. -A pintoid is a pinhole camera inside of an Altoids tin. -I think pinhole cameras are scary. -Images produced by them are sometimes scary. -Digital camera pictures are too clear. -I like stuffing things inside of the different Altoids tins. -I have put LED flashlights, iPod re-chargers, booklights, cameras, and other things inside of Altoids tins. -I have a lot of Altoids tins. -I have no idea why I keep them.

-*mentally barbecues burgers for Char* -But I'm not a dad. -Sorry. -I don't think I've ever kept an Altoids tin before. -The reason for that being that I've never had an Altoid before. -I just ate dinner. -I always go on 667 after dinner, oddly. -I don't plan it or anything, it just happens that way. -Tonight I had tortellini alfredo. -It was good. -My older brother just left. -He's gonna go to Tanzania in a couple years to do missionary work. -And I won't have to live with him for 2 months!! -Yay. -I better go do the dishes. -*sadness*

-I'm back. -Good morning. -Although it's nearly afternoon here. -My morning has been occupied by quite a few things. -...Including having to make many posts on the awful computer in the study. -Comparatively awful, anyway. -My surgery went very well. -Pretty much textbook. -I just have a little swelling at one side of my mouth, and some soreness. -Oh, and my lip around that area is completely numb, but I can live with that for a while. -I was actually home last night, but I felt too exhausted to post on 667. -I just checked my PMs, really. -It's raining really heavily here. -It was the same yesterday. -I'm glad I'm just at home all day today. -Oh, and I can actually eat solid food, which is nice. -I just have to avoid chewing at the back of my mouth. -I also have to take some pills, and some foul-tasting mouthwash. -I think I had the mouthwash about an hour and a half ago, and I can still taste it. -Not much seems to have happened while I've been gone. -Well, outside of the aSoUE sections, anyway. -Why can't you post a lot when I'm here, rather than when I'm away? -It only gives me more to catch up on. -Anyway, I've read The Science of Discworld II: The Globe. -It was pretty good. -I guess I'll have to get TSoDIII:DW next. -And if I get bored, maybe I'll grab a few other books from the cupboard. -Although I still have some Maths homework to do. -Which I will definitely do at least half of today. -And I... don't think anything else particularly interesting happened yesterday. -I saw a new cartoon which I'd never heard of before, called Legend of the Dragon, while waiting to be taken to the operating theatre. -There wasn't much else to do other than watch TV, at the time. -I didn't think much of it, but that was only one episode. -Still, first impressions...

-Yeah, Dantenora, what happened? -You used to post here every five minutes -Are you doing it via PM now, or, like, not at all -Because, you know, at least it WAS something to do -So I joined another writing forum -I was actually looking for a place I could go flame n00bs in, or something, and I stumbled across it -Heh, the admin sent me a personal warning when I arrived -Thought I might cause trouble -Heh, crazy natives -Anyways, school's on soon, and I have much to do, so bye

-I've been pretty busy and tired lately. -This week, I've been working a lot on my college application essays, writing and revising them. -I want the Science of Discworld books, but I don't know if any of my local bookstores have them. -I also want the Bad Beginning Private Library Edition, or at least I want to know what it is exactly. -Maybe I can go to Borders sometime shortly after the release date. -I think I have a school holiday a week from this Friday, by which time this new TBB will apparently be released. -Someone splashed water on me earlier, after I left Government class. -My jacket got wet, and the water narrowly missed the notebook I was carrying. -My Photography teacher had a cool pinhole camera. -He took an interesting blurry photo of the class with it. -I'm planning to carve my Halloween pumpkin in the likeness of Olaf, basing it on a design from one of the trading cards.

-As for me, I've been busy with a bunch of things. -Having headaches... -Actually, that's just right now. -I have been writing some stuff, and catching up with some webcomics. -And that blasted M. needed help with his Maths homework. -Gods, it's not as if he couldn't have gotten away with just copying down the answers. -J. did it a while ago with some far more obvious questions, and Mr. E. didn't notice. -Anyway, the sky is strangely blue here. -And sunny. -It's actually a nice day. -Which is bad, as Mother wants me to actually go out for a walk today. -I've enjoyed not leaving my home for two days. -Well, hopefully it won't be a long walk. -And tomorrow my grandparents are coming around in the morning, so I'll have to humour them too. -So much to do, so little time! -That's the problem with this world. -I'm in a quandary about the BBPLE. -I want it to be useful, as then not only can I justify buying it, I'll actually enjoy it. -But if it is useful, then I'll have to order it from America, as it's released a year late here, so I'll have to wait probably a couple of weeks to get it, and by the time I do everyone will already have finished talking about it. -I guess I'll just have to hope that somebody scans it, or types it up. -Otherwise I'll be pretty unhappy.
