But I made myself flan.
I swear that my love for mexican desserts is almost enough to redeem the fact that I hate all other mexican food.

-I go back to school on monday.
-I'm making my friend a Harry Potter scarf. Or rather, my mom is, and I'm doing the fringes.
-It's red and yellow because she's a griffindor.
-That friend came over for New Years.
-I'm glad she did, otherwise it would have been really boring.
-She forgot her iPod here at my house.
-She told me that she only noticed that when she got home.
-Heh.
-I can play clarinet.
-Well, I could last year.
-I'm not taking music at school this year, or ever.
-I'm glad though.
-I can also play piano.
-I haven't played that in a while either, because we have a keyboard and the adapter's broken and it takes like 6 D batteries.
-We're almost at page 500.
-I need to go to the library.

-I went back to school today.
-I also had Parents' Evening today.
-School was okay, actually.
-In my English Literature class, we actually played various games (variants of "Guess Who" and "Happy Families") to help us remember who each character was, and how they're all connected.
-In Waterland, that is.
-Of course, I drew my own large family tree quite a while ago, so I've got a good idea of most of the characters.
-I criticised the book a lot a while ago, but now I've learnt to appreciate certain aspects of it.
-Not the plot - I don't much care for it - but the structure of the novel.
-Oh, and I had Economics this morning, which was boring and I had homework.
-And then at Parents' Evening, my English and Maths teachers poured praise upon me like some sort of delicious sauce.
-Except I'm not going to be eaten.
-My Economics/Government teacher thought I didn't stretch myself enough.
-Huh, I'm still one of the best in the class.
-That's not saying much, admittedly, but I don't know how I could improve.
-Anyway, I'm home now.
-Just one more day until the weekend.
-Hurrah.
-Then I have a test sometime in General Studies.
-And Maths.
-And I've forgotten when, and what on, for both of them.
-...So I should probably ask around and find out.
-I'll be glad when the weekend arrives.
-Today alone has tired me out.
-I never get chance to post during a school day.
-I used to, but I don't have I.T. classes any more.
-And any other times I have access to computers, I'm surrounded by over-curious people.
-Although judging from the way my parents conspicuously peer over my shoulder, I do wonder if it's any different at school.
-I just saw an advert on another site that said "School's Out!"
-...No.
-Unless it means "out" as in "unstylish."
-It might be that.
-Anyway, I've some homework I need to look at again.
-And a book to read, before I get a certain Amazon delivery.

-School resumed today.
-It was rather dreary.
-I can never come here during the school day, either.
-Mainly because I'm rarely near a computer.
-Except when I actually need to be working on something on said computer.
-And when I was in Computer Programming class last semester, but those computers (sadly) lacked internet access.
-Over-curious people are indeed a hassle.
-Although I might be one of them.
-*ponders*

On another note:
-My schedule is stupid.
-The counselor who should be fixing my schedule is stupid.
-Sociology doesn't fit.
-Nor does jazz improv.
-And...nor does journalism.
-So I'm just sticking with a study hall.
-Although I'm going to be a student aid for my band director.
-Because I don't want to actually take the study hall.
-I'd much rather be taking an actual class, though...
-I am already dreading my next year's scheduling.
-I know what classes I would like to take...
-But there will undoubtedly be conflicts.
-*sigh*

-Today was good. I don't remember it but it was good.
Oh I remember someone saying "West Side Story" and then a bunch of shrieking when we decided that was our lip synch.
My friends either have commitments or a few of them won't see me if other people are also there with us, which I don't want tonight.
So I think I'm going to go on a date with Ashlynn as soon as she gets off work.
I really want to go to Chuckie Cheese.

-667 is really quite dead.
-It's been too hot to do anything today.
-I spent the whole day in doors.
-I'm wearing a t-shirt with a guitar on it.
-It's very inspiring.
-When I walked into my 11 year old brother's room and saw his electric guitar I made him teach me a song.
-I can now play parts of Pink Panther and Mission Impossible.
-I think I'll make it as a rockstar one day.
-Heh.
-I drew my entry for the creativity contest too.
-Everyone should go look.
-I was proud of it.
-Even where I accidentally wripped a corner off and had to draw it so it just looked like it was folded.
-I think I should get extra points for being creative like that.

-My shoulders are peeling badly where I got sunburnt.
-In fact my whole complexion is rather blotchy, like it can't decide between tan and albino.
-It's rather a pity actually, I don't tan until after I burn and then the red gradually fades to a nice brown.
-My sister has even fairer skin than I do though, so I can't really complain too much.

-Oh, I got my braces fixed again.
-I broke them twice in like three weeks.

-I didn't even get to eat anything exciting to break them.
