Chapter Three: Salt in the Wound
The gang made their way deeper into DANTE’s headquarters, rolling Bee and Sophie alongside. Linda peered around a corner and saw some more guards on patrol. She reached into her pocket and pulled out four tranquiliser guns.
“Has anyone used one of these before?” Linda asked warily. “I’d rather not discuss my experience with firearms,” Sherry Ann said, her eyes darting back and forth. “Right...” Linda said. “Maybe I shouldn’t have asked. Anyway you just aim and pull the trigger. It’s simple.” There was a popping noise as some blueberry juice dripped onto Linda’s head. “Bullseye!” Pandora shouted. “Hey, watch where you... zzzzzz,” Sophie began to snore.
They rounded the corner and shot at the guards. Some fell to the floor right away but others took cover. They shot back at the gang, starting a battle that went on for almost half an hour. Willis missed a large chunk of the action, however, when he got a phone call from his sister and stepped outside to take it. “Hey, what’s up?” “Willis, where are you?” Betsy said. “Where’s Pandora? I came home and she was missing.” “Don’t worry,” he answered, scratching his head with the butt of his gun. “We’re on a super secret spy mission. Sophie, Bee and Sherry Ann are here too.” “Um, thanks for the invitation,” Betsy grumbled. “You were busy with your new boyfriend,” Willis said. “How did you know I was with Pandora anyway?” “I didn’t,” Betsy said, her voice wavering. “There was a note here when I got home. It says ‘Willis, Agent L must be stopped or you may never see me again.’ And then there’s a little ink print of a webbed foot. I don’t get it.” “Duck!” Willis gasped. “I have to go.” He hung up the phone and went back inside.
“Everybody pull!” Linda shouted as the others heaved on a rope. They had even cut holes in Bee’s pipe so she could help. The rope came tumbling out of a hole in the wall with Pandora tied on the other end. “What happened?” Willis asked. “Pandora fell into the garbage chute while she was doing a backflip,” Bee’s muffled voice said. “We had to retrieve her before she got to the furnace,” Sherry Ann explained. Pandora, covered in garbage, with singed hair, looked around disbelievingly. “There was a group of toys down there,” she said. “We were all holding hands, ready to accept our fate when you pulled me free.” “Did you just leave them down there?” Linda asked. “Eh, I guess I did,” Pandora said, standing up and slipping on a banana peel. Everybody chuckled and Pandora shrugged comically.
The gang made their way to the next room though Willis kept a close eye on Linda, not knowing who to trust.

My other favorite part is that we cut a hole in the pipe so bee could help fight, but we didn't just cut her out of the pipe.

my favorite parts were the accurate ones like sherry anns dubious background with firearms and betsy complaining she didnt get to come on the mission because thats totes something she would do, just leave her out of the team squad and see what happens.

Chapter Four: Little Did She Know
“We’re almost there!” Linda said, clapping her hands together and dancing from foot to foot. “I’ve always dreamed of this moment: infiltrating DANTE’s headquarters and taking them down from the inside.” The gang stepped into a large hall. In the centre was a keypad on a podium. Everyone looked at Linda expectantly. She wiped a bead of sweat from her brow, afraid to admit that she had no idea what the code could be.
“Look over here!” Sherry Ann called. Linda was thankful for the distraction. “The walls are covered in codes and riddles. Maybe if we solve them it will give us the passcode.” Linda stepped forward, happy to put her training to good use. The others sat down and waited for her to crack the puzzle.
“Hey, Sherry Ann,” Willis said quietly. “What do you think about Linda? Can we trust her?” “That’s a good question,” Sherry Ann replied. “Let’s look at the evidence. She invited us on a highly dangerous mission though she helped us to save Sophie from floating away after the blueberry incident. She tried to stop Bee from getting stuck in the exhaust pipe. She saved Pandora from being burnt to a crisp in the furnace. She has been constantly warning us about the dangers of her gadgets. In conclusion, I think Linda is quite trustworthy. Why do you ask?” “No reason,” Willis said. Everything Sherry Ann had deduced was true, though it didn’t explain the note that Betsy had found.
After about an hour Linda screamed in frustration. She crumpled up the piece of paper she had been writing on and tossed it across the room. Sherry Ann walked to her side. “Don’t get too upset,” she said. “It’s like school. You just need to approach it with an open mind and a willingness to learn.” Sherry Ann took a long, hard look at the riddles on the wall. “Aha!” she cried. She reached into Linda’s abandoned bag for a pen and began to write the solution. “No!” Linda shouted. “Not that pen! That’s my shrink ray!”
It was too late, however. As soon as the pen touched the paper, a beam of light engulfed Sherry Ann. She got smaller and smaller until she was no bigger than the pen itself. “I tried to warn you,” Linda said. Sherry Ann was right, Willis thought. Linda had been warning and helping them every step of the way. How could he betray her?
He picked up the bag which had been knocked over during the shrinking process and placed the spilled contents back inside. It was only when he saw the folder that he knew what he must do. “Linda,” he said, pulling out a gun and pointing it at her head. “Why don’t you tell these people exactly what DANTE and HERMES stand for?”

The part where Sherry Ann says 'why do you ask?' is inaccurate because after I said "No reason" she would have grilled me for like an hour.

Brilliant story! I don't get all the allusions, but it carries itself by the power of the narrative.
