Helquist wouldn't have given them such similar features if it weren't the case.

I love the Carmelita illustrations so much.
I agree with Dante. The hairstyle looks the same to me and it would be entirely nonsensical to have a non-specific girl on the cover, who looks an awful lot like the other image of Carmelita but isn't.
