I just saw this on Facebook and could not believe my eyes. I'm overlooking my initial scepticism because... well... it's Netflix and I get the impression that they know fairly well what the desired finished product will be like.

Finally! I've been waiting since 2002 for something like this to happen and finally it has.
And really we couldn't ask for a better platform for it. It won't have to adhere to the time restraints a network would have. Literally the run time of each episode can be whatever it wants. I'm unbelievably excited for this.

I'm so excited for this!!! I've always loved the movie, but was always disappointed that they left so much out and they didn't continue with any other of the books/storylines. So I'm hoping this will be great.

I'M SO EXCITED THAT MY HANDS ARE SHAKING. The problem is that I need to cut a paper to stick it on another paper and it just wont work for now.

Well, that's rather marvellous news, isn't it?
Bit of a shame that I'm going to have to wait for a DVD release, but never talk good news down, I say.

I just heard about this yesterday and I'm still freaking out!!!! SO EXITED! Has there been a date set for it to come out? Sometime next year? Ever since the ASOUE movie I always wanted the whole series to be made into a movie and now we get a tv show! I remember when this was just a tumblr post.....

Fantastic. That is great news. Now we can see the series as intended I feel! It might solve the V.F.D tattoo dilemma!

The potential here is so vast, perhaps more so than the potential that one movie offers. It's not just something we'll see and then move on- if it's good [which is likely having seen Netflix's other programmes, with Handler involved and with the amazing story and its popularity], this could last for years, although one series is exciting enough. Every shot will be a moment to look forward to, seeing how it compares to the book, seeing how they've interpreted the location, the costume, the music, the script... And I'm really looking forward to the casting! Every cast member will be a surprise as they are announced as people that we are so attached to. Not to mention the potential for the soundtrack, title sequence and promotional material... It's like seeing a new illustration for one of the books, except this will be about twenty four new images per second, in what could be 1800 seconds an episode. Every little piece of beauty that television offers, our beloved series now has access to. Furthermore, there will be the influx of attention! Even with ATWQ out, Snicket hasn't been in the spotlight as much as he used to. But this could open a whole new avenue for fan involvement- interaction with the cast and crew, interaction with each other as people discuss the show, fan art, TV mentions, promotional events... Even if this is a small thing that is over after one series, there are so many things to look forward to. If it's bigger than that, then I don't know how much room I have left for holding my excitement.
