Great Unknown? Inhumane Society?

So, I just had this wild imagination last night. I ended up thinking about the Inhumane Society and other things. What kept me going though is that I was wondering whether they are still around at the time of ASoUE (ATWQ still hasn't finished yet so we wouldn't know), but if it were possible, where could they have been all the time? I came to a somewhat theory... What if, The Inhumane Society is still out there and they have knowledge and (perhaps responisibility) over the Great Unknown, as opposed to the VFD. What if the Great Unknown is the Bombinating Beast? What if the Bombinating Beast has been kept by the IS the whole time? (The monster thing showed by Ellington to Lemony in ATWQ:SYBIS) After all, it is hard to tell whether the Great Unknown is in the good side and bad side of the VFD, since both parties are equally terrified of it. So what if a third party is behind all it?
Hmmm? I don't know, maybe I'm just too tired.
Then came the thought... If this could be true, then is it possible that The Inhumane Society has captured the Quagmire and the others? (At the End of The End)
Well, that would be a wild twist. (Perhaps there were some things I've missed but anyway this has been an exciting thought)

Wow Satoshi, firstly welcome, and secondly, that is an amazing thought. I actually really enjoy that, and if it is true, I think it would be an exciting explanation for the Great Unknown! Thanks for your wonderful contribution!

I don't think there are any actual holes in your theory apart from what other people think the Great Unknown is, so you're more than welcome to stick with that. I strongly suspect that, by the end of ATWQ, the Bombinating Beast being the Great Unknown will be a viable and maybe even popular explanation, and while I don't think it will be quite correct per se, there are definitely some similar connections being made. We'll know in a few months, I guess!

Although i would like that to be correct, i think that this wont be case. the bombinating beast has already been connected to the great unkown briefly int he first book, and whatever te big reveal is, i doubt handler would want it to be 'Hey, its that thign i said it could it be in the first book. Bet that suprised you'

Oooooh I like that idea! Even if it's not the case. The possibility of the GU being the BB is definitely intriguing.
