Great find, Lemona! This will be his first time in Australia, won't it?

He did a book tour here in 2003 (before I was aware of his work, yay), but I think that was the only time. So it will be his first in over a decade, which is a pretty big deal. He also performed here with some choir when he was younger, but I don't know the full details.

Press him on the subject if you get a chance to question him. (And good luck, of course.)

As far as I'm aware, the second two events don't involve any kind of q&a. The first I could imagine doing so, but I'm not really sure how these things work.
Today I secured my tickets for the second two. The first is a non-ticketed event, and is at 6am about 45 minutes travel away from me, so I'm still deciding whether or not to go.

OK, so here's a bit of an update on the upcoming #MelbourneDanielMania, aka Handler doing three public appearances here, about which you should all care. First up, I'm almost definitely going to attend on the 28th, despite the 6am start. I'll aim to get there by 6.30, at any rate. The hosts are inviting people to drop in and out if they like. As I assume DH isn't going to be there the entire time, I'll drop in and out, and probably have breakfast at one of the many nice restaurants nearby at some point. Here's something that actually concerns you: the radio station hosting the shebang is, as far as I'm aware, going to be streaming the program live over here. Use the red rectangle in the top right. I don't think there are location blocks on listening, but I'm sure you guys are resourceful enough that it doesn't matter. For some of you international 667ers, the 6am start time could be quite civilized. Next, I'm considering live blogging (live 667ing? live boarding?) the following day's WAP interview. Would you guys be interested (pssh, I'll probably do it anyway), and should I use this thread for that purpose? Thirdly, the, er, third event. Part of my inbox looks like this, to my delight, and I'm thrilled about the fact that his topic is going to be childhood. I can think of tons of things he's said in the interviews and article and such that make it the perfect choice. Kind of bummed out that none of the events will include signing or (probably) a q&a, but they'll still be great. Also, if any of you lovely citizens of 667 are coming (looking at you Aussies), let me know and I will over-excitedly welcome you. And lastly, HA BANDIT I'M GOING TO BEAT YOU AT THE HOW-MANY-TIMES-HAVE-YOU-SEEN-HANDLER RACE.

I just checked the radio link, and it does indeed appear to work for me, here in the U.K. The liveblog would definitely be appreciated, too, to catch the experience in text; this thread seems like a suitable place right now, though you're welcome to start a fresh thread for it if you so wish. Thank you for volunteering.

More updates: the radio station has confirmed on twitter that they will be streaming the event live.
Also, DH is getting into an Australian mood.
Thank you for volunteering.

It's not, Bandit. It's a developed nation godd@mmit.

It's a developed nation godd@mmit. Well, it seems that our favourite power couple, after a short period in the most grossly overdeveloped part of the nation (Sydney), is in Perth, taking pictures in the library. Ms Brown's twitter and instagram are much more informative than DH's twitter.

Today I'm casing the joint where Mr H will be on the first two days, and testing the wifi. It's barely ok, so the liveblog will not be perfect. EDIT I'm also taking overexcited pictures.
