I've been looking through some Horseradish quotes, but the only result so far is that I now kinda want the book as a quick way to demonstrate Snicket's brilliance to those of my friends I haven't converted yet. I did think of one password that felt pretty appropriate, but that wasn't it.

I think Comet said a while ago that he solved Bandit's Mad Men puzzle but how come everybody's forgotten about this since?

I sent a puzle to Willis, but nothing has happened since then.

I sent it to Tragedy a few months ago, but he didn't put it up. It has now been put up. Have at it, I guess.

Uh, god, I dunno. Everybody loves bing? Everybody Hates Chris? Chris... Bing? Christopher Bing, the cameo role David Fincher had in Being John Malkovich?

Uh, god, I dunno. Everybody loves bing? Everybody Hates Chris? Chris... Bing? Christopher Bing, the cameo role David Fincher had in Being John Malkovich? None of those guesses are the connection I was thinking of, but one of them is an example of a genre I'd like to lead your attention to.

Um... you mean how Everybody Hates Chris is in the same genre as Everyone Loves Raymond? I have no idea how that's connected to Snicket, tho

And Everyone Loves Raymond is one of the things I'd like you to keep in mind from that genre. There's one other thing related to it - the genre, not the show - in the puzzle, though.

dayum, that took a while, comet also, isn't this thing now technically over now that we have houseymousey's polls? It did, sorry. If it's any consolation, you don't seem to have a lot of competition... I think I forgot about this because everyone else seems to have. Well, it's only necessarily over if we were playing for control of the forum in the first place. I always just thought of this as a pastime.

I don't think this was ever meant to be for control of the forum. The original VFDoor, won by ADR, was for that, but after that there was another series of VFDoors, 'won' by Gigi, and that did not lead to Tragedy laying down his power. I think Comet is right; this is just a pastime.

I first thought Comet was referring to HIMYM because NPH stars in both that and ASOUE, but Neil Patrick Harris wasn't the answer.
That's all I got.

Everyone Loves Raymond is involved, but there's one more association you need to make with sitcoms in mind (hint: Try looking at the individual words in the clue). Once you've made that association, you've effectively traded the first clue in for two new ones, which, when put together, should then lead your thoughts to yet another genre.
I haven't watched Everyone Loves Raymond, by the way, so you don't have to know anything about that show to solve the puzzle.
