As for me and myself, I'm having trouble finding the VFD for this and am beginning to suspect that it's going to be revealed when/if this trailer is officially announced... unless someone can decode that desserts shop in the background.

I just found the new VFD - in the shop window on the left side of the screen in the 'Memento Morris' shot, "VA_____ FLAVORED DESSERTS" are being advertised. I've tried "Vanillaflavoreddesserts.com", but with no luck.

I think there's an S in there, somehow. Vastly flavored... variously flavored. Not sure. Also, I'm pessimistic that the clue would be hidden in footage from the main series proper, but it would be an interesting thing I'm interested in exploring!  |

The answer isn't Vaseline, either. And I'm not sure where the VFD could be hidden, if not from something that's actually going to be in the series - the only part whose inclusion even seems questionable is Snicket in the sewer in the beginning.

I have a theory and I am putting it in bold so it must be clever!In this clip, we see Snicket in a sewer. In the previous trailer, we saw him sneakily coming out of a sewer... As we all know, Snicket was always up to some malarky while he was writing his stories. What I'm thinking is that, during each episode, they will cut to Snicket introducing a scene or setting up some situation. As he does so, he is carrying up a strange activity. Throughout the episode, they'll keep coming back to it, and it's a truly strange and head-scratching tale of conspiracy and scheming. As the series come on, these will be less and less funny and more and more ominously connected to the Baudelaires' tale.

Just saw the trailer thanks to a kindly person recording and uploading it, this trailer has to be the best one so far! Also great transcript zinthaniel! This looks so damn good overall! At last we got some solid insight into Violet's character. And I really love the look of the lumbermill, the hilariously bad typography is just perfect TMM in general seems to be the adaptation I'm most excited for so far. Also, why in the world is Dr. Orwell throwing darts at a picture of Olaf? |

One very interesting thing here is that if the orphans go looking for Aunt Josephine, this means that they are taking the initiative much earlier in the series than they do in the books - where they don't start planning their own movements before THH, or possibly TVV.
