Part of the problem with characterising the troupe is that we very rarely were able to see them being themselves rather than having to be in disguise, and anything we can infer about them from their disguised personae is questionable due to the very fact that they were in disguise. My impression of the bald man is that he was that bit nastier than the other members of Olaf's troupe, and never becomes sympathetic in the way that the white-faced women are or that the hook-handed man was surprisingly often, but that plays so much to type that you don't really notice it. And of course the henchperson of indeterminate gender has no personality, so. Definitely the Netflix series can improve on this, and I would be inclined to say that it will have to, from the fact that all troupe members are in all books.

Can someone get an album of shots from the new trailer? I tried, but it didn't work out easily on mobile

I'm gonna try doing that. I'll edit this post once I'm done.

I'm slowly uploading them to our fanpage, but Desventuras em Série Brasil has an album of them on Facebook.

I'll perhaps do another trailer breakdown if I have time, though I felt that there were fewer tiny details which needed pausing for analysis in this trailer.

There's a lot of details I could find that might be important because I already have pictures of the entire trailer on my iPad; I just need to put them in my computer and upload them here for all of you to explore.

Did anyone ever figure out who James R Baylis and Elizabeth Bowen were playing?

Maybe they will not be part of season one, but signed contracts for season two. I can't think of many other characters for them, especially considering that their agent announced it like a big deal and not just a minor character that appears two minutes on the screen.

My guess is that they are either new character or a featured extra. Someone who has lines but isn't a main in the plot I can see them being lucky smells employees. Actors in zombie in the snow. It seems odd to announce them if they aren't in this season I don't think they have even started casting season 2 yet.

Well, bear in mind that Duncan and Isadora (and I think also Carmelita?) have been cast already, but apparently they've actually done some work for Season 1 so it's not quite the same situation.

New Interview - www.avclub.com/article/neil-patrick-harris-channeling-wile-e-coyote-serie-246939Quick summary (Copied and pasted this from a reddit user by the name of ]sletrab07) Snicket will frequently walk into the scene and break the fourth wall The show will be "pretty faithful" to the books, with "some divergence" and "some red herring storylines" There will be musical numbers and a theme song (that Olaf may sing) Each book will receive almost 2 hours of screentime (so 50-60 minute episodes)

Anyone else notice he said "And then we’ll hop into the next one. So we’ll do the first four books, through The Wide Window"?
Think he remembered wrong, or did they swap 3 & 4?

Anyone else notice he said "And then we’ll hop into the next one. So we’ll do the first four books, through The Wide Window"? Think he remembered wrong, or did they swap 3 & 4? It's a possibility that they will use The Wide Window for a season finale, but I am assuming that it is most likely because production usually shoots out of order. The wide window looks to be the most cgi heavy of the three so it was most likely filmed last and therefore NPH misspoke out of habit. Considering that it appears that the orphans arrive at Lucky Smells with the same rain coats they wore while out on lack lachyrmose I think it is most likely that the order has remained the same.

I think it was just his mistake. Remember we've seen Jacquelyn in the maze telling them to find Josephine, and as zinthaniel said, they're wearing the rain coats while they leave to Lucky Smells (and Klaus seems to be holding the picture of some VFD members in front of the lumber mill).

I wonder if by "red herring storylines" he meant the whole Mother & Father thing we saw in the script fragments.
