It's not too surprising they've kept the Marvelous Marriage out of the trailers so far, it is the finale of the story, so they should use it sparingly in promos if at all. With the other books we haven't seen much from their finale's in the trailers either.

I feel like people are jumping to conclusions. I for one am someone who speculates on every detail. But everyone need to remember that majority of the stuff we have seen is from TBB. We haven't seen everything which is good. I glad they haven't ruined all the storylines. I thinks it's a bit silly since we haven't seen something at this point it's out of the show or their reasoning behind it till we see the whole show. I can understand having red flags pop up but I would freak out till the show comes out. For me I'm during to see what they do with the leeches but we haven't seen them that doesn't mean they are cut just means they are saving them for the reveal in the show.

I find the contention with who is holding Sunny to be rather tenuous. I am a left leaning advocate myself and I am all for defying gender tropes, but when things turn into a checklist of sorts then a story becomes contrived and a bit forced.
If we are going to start tallying who carries Sunny the most then I think the story will be lost in effort to push a political statement. I don't know if the show is going to have Violet hold sunny the most often and I, frankly, don't think it matters. It's not misogynistic, imo.
Violet's character, in of itself, is a statement already that undermines female character traditional roles. She is a strong female character whom through her own ingenuity constantly saves herself and her siblings.
I doubt there is going to be an even count for both Violet and Klaus and the amount of times they picked up Sunny and I, personally, think it is a silly and unrealistic to expect for there to be one.

I doubt there is going to be an even count for both Violet and Klaus and the amount of times they picked up Sunny and I, personally, think it is a silly and unrealistic to expect for there to be one. I realize that my comments make it seem like more a big deal than it really is to me. It is ultimately not going to affect my overall opinion of the show or of the characters. I guess when you're analyzing one specific thing, it blows it up a bit. I will add that I have seen other people - fans and non-fans - comment on Violet holding Sunny by herself in these trailers. It's not a mountain of an issue, but that's kind of the point: it's a trivial thing. I don't know why they couldn't just have Klaus hold Sunny part of the time. It doesn't have to be exactly half-and-half. It just makes sense that he would. And hey, maybe he will - we haven't seen the show yet. As we wait for its release, though, all we have to base our discussions off of is the footage released, and in that footage Violet is holding Sunny 95% of the time. But I'm sure when the show is out it will appear more seamless and this will hardly be a talking point. Also: I do want to clarify that Violet holding Sunny and showing those maternal instincts does not take away from her character - of course not! She can be the strong inventor AND do those traditional feminine things. Giving her the job of carrying Sunny around doesn't have to be intentionally misogynistic, but it does make you wonder why it has to be Violet and not her brother. She's the eldest, she feels the most responsible - two good reasons for that. But what I love about the Baudelaires is that they all share the weight, and it just makes sense for Klaus to want to help out, too. Anyway, this is getting too rambly: basically I was glad to see the few shots of Klaus holding Sunny and hope that it feels more even in the show!

I can't find anyone mentioning the new teaser trailer from Netflix's ASoUE's official instagram, so I'm posting it here. It's a mix of previously seen footage and a couple of new shots (Phil on the sawmill, a shot of the Baudelaires):

Guys! A tiny new clip can be found in this promo with NPH, it shows Stefano clapping at Klaus in the reptile room... http://instagram.com/p/BOWuRPoAgk6 When could that be?? After proving he's count Olaf? Or when Sunny tries to distract everyone and he starts bragging about knowing everything about snakes? Really intrigued about this! Also, the music seems to be Olaf's theme, as shown in the clip of "hello, hello, hello"... better and better!! I am really looking forward the suspense of that book, it kept me frozen while reading it. Also, sorry for answering so late about my previous internet worries (holidays plans kept me a bit busy), but I think you're all right. Sometimes the internet can be deceiving. A few comments on youtube aren't the majority of the viewers, and it's really reassuring to know that every netflix show has had a second season, no matter how bad it's done. Soo, let's keep the hype real!!

There's a new still, too! This one made me shiver. Olaf looks very, very threatening especially with his hand clasped on Violet's arm. Just makes me want to jump into the story and protect the Baudelaires! http://instagram.com/p/BOX44bBhMn6

To add to the Sunny holding conversation, I think the marketing is to blame. In addition to showing Violet holding Sunny the most the earlier trailers were also giving Klaus most of the lines and screen time as well as showing him in more action scenes. Add in that on the poster his face appears the biggest of the three and even blocks part of Violet's face (Which even on the book emblem he blocks part of her face, but she's at least placed higher and Sunny is doing the same to him, it had a balanced look to it). Alone, Violet holding Sunny the most isn't a problem, but with everything else added in it doesn't seem quite right. Fortunately it seems like the marketing department is trying to balance it now, so I doubt it's really a problem in the show itself.
It's nice to see more from TRR and TWW in the marketing now. It really looks like this will be a strong adaptation.

Is the sunny biting the tree scene done with stop motion? I hope so, I've always thought old school type effects were more in line with the series than CGI is. Maybe they'll do a Life Aquatic type thing and use stop motion for more bizarre animals.
