I love Malina's "invisable" <3
Also I wonder if she's scared of bananas because of what happened with Aunt Josephine.

Is the sunny biting the tree scene done with stop motion? I hope so, I've always thought old school type effects were more in line with the series than CGI is. Maybe they'll do a Life Aquatic type thing and use stop motion for more bizarre animals. Looks like some sort of puppet anyway.

I'm pleased with the kids' respective handwriting. Louis' is very Klaus-y: Italic, with lots of twists and turns and curves; not quite controlled yet because he's still young, but certainly prettier than could be expected from someone his age growing up in this time and age, much in the vein of someone dedicated to books and writing. Malina's, meanwhile, is slightly cruder, but clearer, with long, free-standing lines - a practical handwriting for someone who needs to be able to read her own notes later on when building inventions based on her quick notes from the middle of the night. What with all the notetaking the Baudelaires will eventually be doing, I'm wondering whether their handwriting will be seen in action during the series. If that's the case, they both have my approval.
If Malina were actually able to become invisible, she would start to very much resemble Violet from The Incredibles, quite apart from playing her namesake.
Louis' exclamation mark after 'No' makes me feel like he's hiding some specific ghost-related incident.
I honestly understand Malina's fear of bananas. I'm personally always a little nervous of accidentally eating one with a spider inside (not sure if that's an actual risk, but you do hear stories, and I'm too lazy to fact-check - besides, the thought has entered my head, so I'll still be nervous whether or not it's rational).
I do not share a favourite emoji with either actor. I use emojii all the time, but very rarely either of those.

Netflix is now prioritizing ASOUE as it's front facing upcoming title. Nothing new but cool to see it get front page and banner treatment. www.youtube.com/user/NewOnNetflix

Also don't be suckered into reading the YT comments again for any of the trailers.

I wonder if the captain of the Prospero with the initials J.S. who is mentioned in the Unauthorized Autobiography will show up at all.

If I recall correctly, one of the set photos gave a glimpse of her surname, which begins with the letter "S," so their initials would fit.

I wonder if they're cutting out the train from The Miserable Mill and replacing it with the truck. That would make sense, given that it seems like Paltryville no longer exists in this version. However, that raises the question as to how they will present the optometrist's office without a town for it to be located in.

I mean- I don't think it's that Paltryville doesn't exist, I think that it's just in a state of disrepair and abandon. Paltryville's been previously compared to New Orleans post-Katrina by, I think it was Teleram? (Correct me if I'm wrong.) I wonder if this fire business isn't an expansion of the idea that the town itself was wounded.

I wonder if maybe the station is at the edge of the woods and the truck has to take them all the way into town? Or it could have something to do with something we haven't even seen yet.
