UGHH THAT IS SO COOL. About the premiere. Also as per the henchpersons, I love that it looks like they're always literally like STEPS away from Olaf. I'm so excited to see them used more.

They seem to have done the best they can with a trailer made of objects in an indoor environment without being accused of imitating the famous fake trailer. I was liking it until the burning paper transition at the end. Oh, yeah. This trailer was, 100% and through and through, "See? We're as good as those guys. Don't, like, be TOO sad it was a fake.. please?" But you know what? It worked and I love it.

I'm sort of wondering how long ago they filmed this. The frame holding the portrait of the Baudelaire's is real, but oddly the picture of them within the frame has been added in digitally, it's very obvious. So, it makes me wonder if this was filmed rather early on (maybe during the pre-production phase).
I don't know why they waited so long to put this one out there, this would have been a great teaser trailer announcing the premiere date.

Does anyone know when Netflix releases shows? Like, at what time?
I'll have a really busy Friday and am thinking of not sleeping on Thursday night to watch it until it's time to go to work.

Why would you do that? You'll be sleepy and possibly not able to fully enjoy it because of that. And when you're at work you can't talk about it here anyway. Just wait til after work bro

Esmé's meme is meh it'll be 5 a.m. your time so staying up wouldn't really do anything for you but you could probably hide in the bathroom at work and watch it on your phone and pretend you've fainted if anyone checks on you

I don't like the newest trailer and I hope it's not part of the show's opening or anything. The overall concept of having a bunch of traditional symbols of bad luck feels like it was thought up by someone who was told nothing other than the title of the show. The focus on superstition has little to do with the actual content or spirit of the show, and feels a bit too un-cynical.
I also think it overall might have suffered from the existence of the fake trailer. It might have been a bit limiting to avoid comparisons.

I also think it overall might have suffered from the existence of the fake trailer. It might have been a bit limiting to avoid comparisons. I saw it more having to do with the Friday the 13th release date of the show rather than the show itself. I think it was just playing into the superstition that comes along with that day. However, despite its ties with the 13th, it was an odd release time for it. It would have been more more effective if we didn't already have a ton of footage to dissect. But as it is, I don't think it was supposed to be a big release. Just a neat little video catering to the fans, and looking at it that way, I really enjoyed it.
