My elder sister's room was being cleaned out, so I was hanging about on her sofa, and my mum said "Try these books," which was the whole series of ASOUE out in UK at that time--the first six--and I read the first few pages, and thought, "Mmm, might be good", finished the first chapter, thought, "Eh, i'll read the whole book, if I like it, i'll try the others,", by the end of book 1 I was hooked, and spent the whole night reading all of them as many times as possible, and since then i've been on the edge of my seat, urging the next book to come on and hurry up to get here.
