BSam I was going to quote it all here but I forgot / didn't have time because anka was pressuring me to use the computer At least its better than my presentation last year Over the last year several threads of varying quality have been created on 667. This is one of the five best. Apparently, according to the voters in the darkies, this is the 5th best, as it came last in this years votes. But to come last is no bad thing, as its still the best out of hundreds. Roasting a 667er, like roasting a chicken or a potato, is something that one should do with great care so as not to avoid leaving a nasty taste in someones mouth. Clearly, pepper's are good at roasting (or at being roasted?) as this thread came is the 4th greatest 667 had to offer. Now from Oranges and Peppers to, umm.. to things! Oh no, wait, thinks. Okay. Interestingly (or perhaps not) I don't actually think I've seen this thread before. Interesting. Anyway, it came third. Now onto the top two. *tension build* The Darkies suck this year, apparently. Maybe they suck so much because this thread came second? Okay, no, not really, this thread is fun, and it came close to almost winning, which would have been a fun paradox of a win. I feel like I just arrived very late to an amazing awards show and now I'm standing awkward and alone in an empty theatre because all the other guests have already gone home -- but despite my lateness, thank you SO much for the best artist award, and for all the congratulations! That was a lovely thing to log on to. I also like how it was kindly awarded for the 'first part' of my ASOUE illustrations project, because, you know, I haven't updated it in AGES. But I will do very soon, hopefully some time in the next couple of weeks.

Most CompassionateNow, compassion is defined as "feeling or showing sympathy and concern for others", but I think that sympathy and empathy can get mixed up sometimes. The former means "feeling compassion, sorrow, or pity for the hardships that another person encounters", as in: "You have my sympathies for having lost your pet today, I hope you'll feel better soon"; The latter means a more general "putting yourself in the shoes of another", as, possibly, in: "I see you've expressed some genuine emotion just now -- stop that, it's ruining everything!" Here in the Darkies this year, I think 'Most Compassionate' is supposed to include both sympathy and empathy, which is why the winner is none other than Two people! who are Hermes and Beatricetriptych! You can both expect a wonderful banner made by Quisby!
Comet, Lemona, Zortegus all came close with three votes each; keep up the compassion and maybe one of y'all will win next year!
