We already pretty much knew this, but this new interview with Neil Patrick Harris outright confirms that season 3 will have seven episodes. “It was always the plan to do [just] three seasons, which I really liked,” the How I Met Your Mother vet tells TVLine. “It makes me feel like we’re doing a specific piece of art, as opposed to just hoping that the zeitgeist holds us up for as many seasons as people can stomach.” [...] Harris reveals that the farewell season will consist of seven episodes — which is one less than Season 1’s eight and three less than Season 2’s 10." tvline.com/2018/03/18/series-of-unfortunate-events-end-date-season-4-neil-patrick-harris/

www.dgc.ca/assets/Uploads/BritishColumbia/AvailsProductionLists/Documents/Production-List.pdfDirector's Guild of Canada now lists two directors currently in activity: Barry Sonnenfeld and Bo Welch Since Barry was listed when they were filming The Grim Grotto, I guess he's doing Penultimate Peril and Bo Welch will later helm The End? Kinda like this. Was expecting Barry to direct the series finale, but TPP can also be seen as a climax for the series (its "denouement", haha) so...

This article about season 2's sets also has a little sneak peek at what the Slippery Slope will be like. "We're filming season three right now and we're currently on a snow-covered mountain which is on a soundstage," Harris laughed, incredulous. "Completely fully realized. And then over there is another part of the mountain which is all woods, so it's covered in trees. It is unbelievable the resources that they have put towards this. It's staggering." www.popsugar.com/entertainment/Where-Series-Unfortunate-Events-Filmed-44713282( I don't believe Mount Fraught had a forest in the books, which makes this another intriguing change.)
