Hey! Sooo I used to lurk on here back around '04-'08 a lot. I went by this username, but it looks like I had to reregister it. Really amazing and wonderful to see this website and community still around!

I wanted to share a video I made with fellow Snicket fans when I got to meet the man himself when he came to give a talk in Columbus a few weeks ago. He generously agreed to take part in the video. I told him he was hugely responsible for helping me get out of the bubble I was living in growing up to which he drolly said "Certainly seems like you're outside the bubble..."

Hi! I enjoyed the video, and it's cool that you got to meet Daniel Handler in real life. It's nice to have my suspicions reliably confirmed that most emoji are actually code for 'Bad Clams'.

Thanks for the video, 1986, and welcome back. It's always interesting to see Mr. Handler in a non-scripted routine; he usually manages pretty well, even if one joke in particular wears (perhaps deliberately) a bit thin by the close.
