R. has been accused. She may post a defense. Optimism is my Phil-osophy and Marlowe, you have two days to agree or disagree with the accusation. If either of you disagrees, the game picks up where it left off. If one of you does not make a post in that time, the game picks up where it left off.

That is certainly a strange accusation. As you can see from my answers, I have quite a good idea of what this place is, and if I was the spy, I would have already said. The real spy is undoubtedly hiding somewhere, someone who has no doubt already been accused, but someone disagreed. Bear in mind that there are many people here, and a flashlight would certainly be useful at a certain point in the history of this place.

Jean Lucio has disagreed with the charge. The game continues with Jean Lucio's question to Marlowe:

We are in a large location. R. are there many doors here, few doors, one door, or no doors at all?

Many doors, but I only use a few of them. Marlowe, do you get along with the people here?

The spy has revealed himself and ... he is incorrect!
This was an exciting (and occasionally confusing) round, breaking the record for most accusations so far and with many entertaining coincidences along the way.
The place where you were was as follows: 667 Dark Avenue
As I am the Master, I will reveal the secret identity of each of the players: Jean Lucio - spy baudelaiire - Doorman Marlowe - Esme Squalor roxy222 - Jerome Squalor
As the location was incorrectly identified, the friends win this round. Please share your deductions below!
Scoreboard: Jean Lucio: 8 points + 0 points = 8 points baudelaiire: 8 points + 2 points = 10 points roxy222: 0 points + 2 points = 2 points Marlowe: 0 points + 2 points = 2 points ——————————————— Dante: 6 points (did not participate in this round) FileneNGottlin : = 4 Points (did not participate in this round) sevensorrows : 2 points (did not participate) Hermes : 2 points (did not participate) tk: = 2 points (did not participate) Marlowe : 0 points (did not participate in this round) baticeeer : 0 points (did not participate) Sherry Ann: 4 points (Master) gothicarchiesfan : 2 points (did not participate)

This time I was completely fooled! Congratulations to you. I'm going to use my shame bag for a few days.

It would still be fun to hear your strategy, Jean Lucio.
Edit: In particular, I'm wondering 1) why did you disagree with the charge to accuse roxy222? 2) Why not wait for another person to accuse you to make your guess, so as to gain more info?

I will not be proud and will publish my path to defeat. At first Baudelaiire said that she was there because she was being paid. And then she asked me about my clothes. What could I do? I had to improvise. I said I was wearing white clothes. So I started my research. Since no one accused me of being the spy for saying I was in white clothes, I concluded that I was right. I thought about being in a hospital. Then I asked about someone being sick, and Roxy222's immediate reaction was to apprehend tricky. I thought, "In fact, someone must be sick around here. Otherwise, I wouldn't be cleared so easily." Then Marlowe replied that he didn't mind getting sick. And then Roxy222 talked about trying to look where she was going. I thought, "The place where it fits is at Hotel D. It can only be there." But I was still confused. Baudelaiire talked about using the phone. So I thought she was Mr Poe. I suspect that with my answer you already knew that I was the spy. But you want to see me shamefully go wrong. If this was the case, you did it. But I am happy to have been defeated. It's great to find such good rivals. I will not say that for a moment Dark Avenue did not cross my mind as a possibility. That's why I asked "what is one of the digits of the numeral associated with this place?" If he said 6 or 7, I would have changed my mind. But as he talked about a strange number, I thought he was talking about the inverted numbers at the hotel. I deduce that he knew what my options were, and he even deduced that I was in doubt between Hotel D and Dark Avenue 667. And he pushed me the wrong way. I'm really happy to be cheated by you ... I felt it when I read a book and then a really well done plot twist takes me by surprise. You have won with great justice. And my arrogance was my biggest antagonist. I was at the advantage. No one could make decisions, and I was able to gather more information. But that would be humiliating to me. It would be taking advantage of a situation to win at any cost. After all, if I consider myself an attentive reader of ASOUE, I should be able to deduce where we are with the information we had so far. I got to make sure Roxy222 was the woman who was wearing a diving helmet and looking at the bottom of the ocean. Thank you very much for defeating me with such wit.

The reason I disagreed with the accusation is also related to my pride. I wanted to earn 4 points. And you get 4 points as a spy if you correct guess the site or if you accuse someone and everyone agrees. So, this game contains the pride trap. If the spy believes he knows where he is and believes he has everything under control, he has no reason not to try to earn 4 points instead of two points. But it also opens a gap for detectives to try to trap him and trick him.

I was in a situation where I believed that I was alone at an advantage. I could ask specific questions and even get wrong answers, because nobody could accuse me until the end of the game. But I didn't realize that in contrast, friends/detectives were also at an invisible advantage for me. They could give vague answers (and even lie) without others accusing them of being the spy. When we get to the level where all the accusations are made, we can say that the chains that made this game something respectable become a vile den of lies and cheating.
