I couldn't decide which one of you three were the spy at first - each of you said or did something suspicious. Baudelaiire answered Roxy with a vague statement that I didn't feel was connected to the setting. The Squalors aren't being paid to be there, the 667 residents aren't paid to be there, Fernald the doorman isn't being paid to be there because Olaf doesn't pay him. (Unless paid as in, paid with the Baudelaire fortune?) Then Roxy accused Baudelaiire seemingly on a whim, which I interpreted as being possibly a failed attempt to deflect attention. But once Jean Lucio said he was wearing "white clothes", I suspected him more than anyone else. I actually went back and checked a copy of TEE just to verify white clothes made no appearance, and sure enough I was right. Once he gave the "organized" answer, I decided that was enough evidence for me to deduce he was guessing we were at Heimlich. To Jean's credit, he responded to my accusation by giving a surprisingly detailed defense that made me go back and check TEE again to see if I had misremembered anything. Once I had confirmed Jean's descriptions were irrelevant to the book's plot, my suspicions were confirmed. Still, there was a part of me that asked, "Surely Jean wouldn't make the same mistake Gothicarchiesfan did?" and considered Baudelaiire as another possibility, especially after the latter disagreed with my charge. Roxy was "acquitted" in my eyes after correctly answering my question, and I dithered between the other 2 players as another accusation was made. Baudelaiire's charge against Roxy, and disagreement with mine against JL, remains inexplicable to me, as Roxy had been by far the most accurate and specific in her answers by that point (in fact I'd been worried her answers would tip the spy off). I'd really quite like to hear the rationale behind these actions, Baudelaiire.
If I was pretty sure Jean was the spy after he accused me, I was positive after he asked me about the numerals. It was an overly specific question that one who knew the location wouldn't ask; instead it was a prying, desperate question asked by one who has no idea. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I reasoned that saying 6 or 7 would be a bone-headed move that would easily tip the spy off no matter who they were. So I gave an answer that was both misleading and technically accurate: 7 is indeed an odd number, being indivisible into pairs, but by way of pun, the answer could be interpreted as referring to a literally ODD number. Evidently, Jean didn't twig to my play on words and leaped to the Denouement conclusion. Ultimately, that was his downfall.
A round of applause all around for an action-packed game. Literally every player accused! How exciting.

1. If Roxy was a Quagmire her answers'd make sense, although I wasn't sure. The fact she accused me so quickly also made me think she was deflecting. 2. I didn't know whether to answer as the doorman Fernald was pretending to be or Fernald himself, but they are both paid sooner or later (whether that be in money for the doorman - or food, accommodation, mentorship etc for Fernald). I flipped through my book and reread his scenes though, because he is such a minor character in this location that I didn't want to say anything wrong.
I'd really quite like to hear the rationale behind these actions, Baudelaiire. "Fernald the doorman isn't being paid to be there because Olaf doesn't pay him"

I made a mistake in the scoring; tricky has 10 points, not 2 points. This puts him / her in the lead of the game. Also, I will play this round!

The spy has revealed himself and ... he is incorrect! This was an exciting (and occasionally confusing) round, breaking the record for most accusations so far and with many entertaining coincidences along the way. The place where you were was as follows: 667 Dark Avenue As I am the Master, I will reveal the secret identity of each of the players: Jean Lucio - spy baudelaiire - Doorman Marlowe - Esme Squalor roxy222 - Jerome Squalor As the location was incorrectly identified, the friends win this round. Please share your deductions below! Scoreboard: Jean Lucio: 8 points + 0 points = 8 points baudelaiire: 8 points + 2 points = 10 points roxy222: 0 points + 2 points = 2 points Marlowe: 0 points + 2 points = 2 points ——————————————— Dante: 6 points (did not participate in this round) FileneNGottlin : = 4 Points (did not participate in this round) sevensorrows : 2 points (did not participate) Hermes : 2 points (did not participate) tk: = 2 points (did not participate) Marlowe : 0 points (did not participate in this round)baticeeer : 0 points (did not participate) Sherry Ann: 4 points (Master) gothicarchiesfan : 2 points (did not participate)

The conventional registration time has expired. I have extended the registration period. Only 3 people signed up for a while. I would really appreciate it if there was one more subscriber. Hermes or Dante can we count on your participation in this round? Marlowe , will you play? (I believe that even if you are busy, you can play quickly ... And even if some questions are left unanswered, the master can interpret your role.)
