One of the most accepted currents on the correct reading of TBL involves the fact that Beatrice Jr was actually 10 years old when he wrote BB to LS # 6. Furthermore, this current defends the idea that all letters from Beatrice to Lemony are in fact from Beatrice Jr to Lemony. I had difficulty accepting this idea due to chronological problems, as well as changes in Beatrice's vocabulary. But writing Untie My Silence Knot changed my life and opened my mind to a multitude of possibilities. Until I managed to find something that makes the most sense to me at the moment.
To recapitulate the premises that I adopted in my last text regarding TBL, this book is like an anagram. The basic rules when you are forming anagrams, is that you can change the order of the letters to have another meaning. I have to admit that I exaggerated this great concept, when I included the idea that the meaning of the letters would also change if you adopted different premises. When playing at forming anagrams, different premises are not really involved in the game. Only the order of the letters can be changed to form (there yes) different meanings. In this case, the first tip we canonically have within the TBL work itself is that the order of the letters may be different from the order presented.
The other tip was presented to me by Dante. He showed that on the cover of the book there is a representation of two Beatrices. One evidently older and the other evidently a child. So, there is no canonical reason to think of an adult Beatrice Jr until the publication of TBL in the ASOUE universe.
TE was published on ASOUEverse with all certainty after Lemony knew about Beatrice Jr.'s existence. This puts TBL as being published (most likely) before the publication of TE (as it happened in our universe)
But then we have the Masked Ball problem. As I explained, the Ball where Lemony was arrested took place before the publication of TMM and after the publication of TWW. Lemony says she tried to get Beatrice a message at that party. Lemony wanted to say something about Count Olaf. I have already shown my reasons for believing that Lemony wanted to say to Beatrice, "Count Olaf is dead." This message is the only one that seems to make sense at that moment. Lemony believed that this woman was indeed Beatrice, and that she had survived the fire. But as I already showed in my previous text, that woman was not Beatrice. She was part of a plan to attract and capture Lemony. However, why would Lemony give that same message 15 years earlier, when Count Olaf was very much alive? It confused me, but now I think I get it. Fifteen years before the Ball, Lemony wanted to have told Beatrice that Count Olaf was dead, because that was probably the plan involving the poison darts. Lemony wanted to give this news to Beatrice, but unfortunately who died was one of Olaf's parents (or both). But 15 years after that sad event, Lemony could say with all certainty that the Count was really dead this time.
So, I conclude that from the event involving the poisoned darts to the Ball 15 years have passed.
So, I will adjust my theoretical chronology: (The years are approximate, and may vary slightly due to the months).
Year of the Rat (YR) - The Baudelaire mansion is set on fire.
YR + 1 - Beatrice Jr. is born
YR + 2 - Beatrice Jr leaves the island and turns 1 year old.
YR + 3 - Lemony finally publishes TBB, TRR and TWW.
YR + 3 - Masked Ball happens. Lemony is arrested. Lemony runs away at the end of the year and spends a few years abroad. (LSTUA chapter 1 and 2).
YR + 4 - Lemony is still abroad.
YR + 5 - Lemony is still abroad. (or back at the end of the year)
YR + 6 - Lemony publishes TMM. Prufrock Prep is already closed or closes afterwards.
from YR + 6 to YR + 8 - Publishes TAA, TEE, TVV, THH, TCC, TSS, TGG and TPP. (Spends a few months researching Hal and a few months looking for evidence in the mountain region). (I believe that in the meantime Hotel D is rebuilt and TBB the Rare Edition is published after the Hotel has been rebuilt).
YR + 8 - Lemony receives two letters from Beatrice Jr. (BB to LS # 2 and BB to LS # 3) Beatrice Jr enters VFD. After that, she somehow obtains information about Lemony, including the letters he had sent to Beatrice Sr. She learns about the poem My Silence Knot, probably through these letters. The first letter she sent never actually reaches Lemony, which is why she complains about Lemony never answering her questions in a later letter.
YR + 11 - Beatrice, after spending some time in VFD sends other letters to Lemony, including BB to LS # 1. (Probably Lemony's editor put this letter in the wrong order). Lemony believes that the author of the letter is an imposter, and therefore runs away from the author. Until finally (probably) Lemony meets up with Beatrice Jr at the cafe. (The difference in vocabulary is probably due to the time that elapses between sending BB to LS # 3 and sending BB to LS # 1).
YR + 11 - Lemony searches for objects related to TBL letters and the MSN poem.
YR + 12 - Lemony publishes TE.

Things fit together relatively well. In YR-14 Violet was born. In YR-12 Klaus was born. In YR - 12, the last meeting between Lemony and Beatrice Sr actually happened. According to Lemony in TBB The Rare Edition, he was familiar with the interior of the Baudelaires' house, indicating that he was there at some point probably after Beatrice's marriage to Bertrand.
In YR + 12 Lemony he would be about 44 years old. Lemony was reportedly born around YR-31.
In YR-19 Lemony went for his practical training. (Year of snake, quoted in TBL) (approximately)
