Describe your ASOUE-related dreams

Has anyone else had a ton of dreams connected to ASOUE? I certainly have. Here are some of mine. 

I once dreamt that I discovered that our world and the Averse were becoming one. Josephine and Ike Anwhistle showed up in the dream, which confused me because they had died. But the really interesting part of the dream was when I attended a party and saw Georgina Orwell, sword and all. I confronted her because I was in a busy room and she couldn’t do anything with all those witnesses. She told me that the reason she was still alive was because a year had passed since her death, and now the worlds were coming together she could come back from the dead. I discovered that every other kid at the party was a major ASOUE fan, and I ended up discussing the matter with all of them. 

Another time I dreamt that I could travel into books and ended up going to the Hotel Denouement. Once there, I discovered that Esmé had mind-controlled Sunny with some kind of plant in THH, and Sunny was now working with her. For some reason, (I am super reckless in dreams) I decided to go eavesdrop on Esmé, but did a runner in the middle of spying because I was terrified of what she would do if she found me. I ran down to the lobby and discovered my parents talking to a strange young woman. She seemed pleased to see me, and led us all into a room. She told me she was an Arctic explorer studying the formation of glaciers, and showed us some photographs of her latest expedition. However, she soon began blatantly trying to recruit me into VFD, and the creepy thing was that my parents didn’t notice, however obvious it was. I eventually convinced my parents to get me away from her, and then I woke up. 

Those are two of my ASOUE dreams, I would love to hear about yours.

I think I have already described my recent dreams on the thread involving coincidences. In one of them I dreamed of Daniel Handler, who for some reason had come to my house and he explained to me that for contractual reasons I could not give some answers that I wanted, but I had access to a museum about the universe of asoue, including photos of children missing 25 years ago. And in the end, my parents were going to offer him coffee. And the other one I bought 1000 books from LSTUA to resell, but I was not successful because none of my friends had read the 13 main books.

You have some very beautiful dreams, Optimism is my Phil-osophy. Most of my ASOUE dreams are straight up disturbing. I once dreamt that I was on Briny Beach, leaning against a rock. Olaf and Esmé were standing in the distance, but I didn’t feel at all intimidated by their presence. But the worst part of the dream was that the Baudelaires were in front of me, trapped inside machines of some kind. I knew these devices were intended to kill them, and that Olaf and Esmé had put them there. What’s more, I seemed to know exactly how the machines worked, and wasn’t doing anything to help the Baudelaires. Instead I was just standing there with a big smile on my face, like I was in on the plot. I woke up ashamed and terrified.

I had a dream I was Quigley Quagmire and I had the whole ASOUE journey with the Baudelaires and Quagmires. At the end, I found the Quagmires and we reunited. But the man with beard with no hair and the woman with the hair but no beard (why we she have a beard lol) came and attacked us with the eagles. I fell in the ocean and woke up in the Grogorian Grotto, lost and alone. Yeah, it was pretty sad. P.S. I love the idea of this thread.

Plus, I had another dream I was Count Olaf. I was aware I was dreaming, but I went through his whole life and I committed despicable acts. When I woke up I was sad and ashamed. (I wish he was too.)

Yeah, can you tell me all the content in the "VFD Universe"? I don't know what it's called.

There are the 13 main books, a prequel series called All The Wrong Questions, and two standalone novels called The Unauthorised Autobiography and The Beatrice Letters. There is also the film, which is aesthetically brilliant but a bit too fast-paced, and the Netflix series.

I have The Unauthorised Autobiography and The Beatrice Letters. I saw the film and the whole series too. And, I borrowed every main book from the library. I tried out ATWQ but I wasn't really into it. Thanks! Also, check out my post in Gruesome Greetings. Thanks again!

My dad grew a beard during quarantine, and I dreamed that he was a combination of Olaf and the man with a beard but no hair, who proceeded to kidnap my sister and I in a submarine (not the Queequeg) which amused me very much.

I forgot to mention this one, but I once dreamt an alternate continuity of TPP in which Carmelita started developing murderous tendencies and began to kill people in the Hotel Denouement, which Esmé initially supported but soon became afraid after Carmelita started targeting their own side. I can remember her specifically going after Fernald. I wasn’t really in the dream, just a random bystander.

I once had a positively terrifying nightmare in which I was hiking up a mountain range with my class from school. We were standing outside the cabin when I noticed the plumes of smoke coming from my house and my friends’ houses. I tried to explain to the others that our homes were on fire, but they wouldn’t listen to me. That was when I realised that it couldn’t be a coincidence that all the houses in our class had caught fire at the same time, and the MWBBNH and the WWHBNB were probably planning to kidnap us. We went into the cabin, and just to add insult to injury everyone else had brought snacks and I hadn’t. I sat down on a bed, and began to think about what to do. I eventually decided to take a leaf out of Carmelita’s book and attempt to win over one of my kidnappers and join their side of the schism. That was when I noticed a letter to the parents from the school, saying that it was likely that the class wouldn’t return. That was when I realised that they knew. I sat on the bed weeping for myself and my parents until I woke up.

I just remembered another one!
So, I had just found out that VFD actually did exist, and that they were hiding the sugar bowl in my area. My parents wouldn’t let me look for it though. I went to an open air screening of Cats the Musical, and on the way there I discovered the sugar bowl in some bushes. I stole it and took it everywhere with me, but for some reason I never opened it. One day, I decided to take it to school, and somehow ended up fighting with two girls in the toilets, who were convinced that it was theirs and that it was some kind of recording device. I dropped it, it came open, and I found to my great surprise that it was full of raspberries. A lot of stuff happened which I can’t remember, and then I woke up.
