I believe he is working on a few projects, and one of them is a musical. a what?? a who now??? that's exciting for me personally. love musicals and gd i would kill for sondheim's lyrical take on asoue material. but i'll take the decemberists on a non asoue project too. The mariner's revenge song is good, their music is pretty story-driven which is a good sign for musical theatre.

The name has allegedly leaked online, but please don't post it. I'd have to delete it. Why, if I may ask? From what I remember from reading threads from when ATWQ was coming out, leaks were fine if put in spoiler tags.

Were they actual leaks? I recall it being released by the publishers themselves. I decided not spreading the leaks any further would be the best course of action, as to respect Mr. Handler and the production as a whole. One instance that comes to mind is when someone was selling an Advanced Reader's Copy of ?2 and Mr. Dante didn't want to tell people as to keep leaks from getting out. I think that same mentality applies here. I was thinking of a case were Dante changed a URL to get something that wasn't meant to be released for a week, but your reasoning stands.

I always thought those books were ones Snicket published in universe. He is an author, after all. I had the opportunity to send a question to Daniel Handler about this, thanks to our friend Semb. Basically, he said he never thought about it seriously. But now that PFB has been published, I think it makes more sense to think that the fictional author of PFB (named Lemony Snicket) was the one who published the books for young children in his universe. (Basically, PFB's universe is almost identical to our universe, and there is an author named Lemony Snicket there, and it was this author who created ASOUE and the other Lemony Snicket books. In other words, in PFB's universe asoue is just one set of books. Of course you can imagine that there is a parallel universe in which the events of ASOUE actually took place and by some connection that exists between the universes the Lemony Snicket of the ASOUE universe mentally connected with the Lemony Snicket of the PFB universe and then it all makes sense... or not.)
About leaks, I think that in the first place, it all depends on one's morality... As an author (I've always wanted to say that!) I can say that it would bother me if my material was leaked without my consent and I would be disappointed with my fans if they did show any support for these unauthorized leaks.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but:
I think the opposite. I think Poison for Breakfast is fictional, and was made up by ASOUE!Lemony. It is a bit of his fantasy, where he could go about in public without being a wanted criminal, and if he thought he was poisoned it wouldn't be true.

the title looks like it ends with two Ns. I agree with that. I just did a test using a photo editor. The results are not 100% conclusive, however I say that with 80% probability it is a word that ends with "NN". I looked up some English words that have such an ending. As Zortegus said, "Inn" is the best known. I believe that if the word in question actually pain "Inn" the title has 3 small words. My intuition however tells me that the title is made up of 2 words. I think in general titles with 3 small words don't sound good. (This is just an opinion). If my intuition is right, I've found other words that might be interesting. "Djinn" or "jinn". In this case it would be something like "The Djinn", and probably the story would be a Bottle Grove magical realism. (I wouldn't want to be right in this case, because evidently I'd like something in AVERSE). "Conn". - Because it's a nautical term, it would be fun to think that somehow the story could be related to the island, or the disappearing sea of ATWQ. It would be easy to get an alliteration... "linn" - something related to waterfalls? If this takes place in Averse it would be a whole new location... it would be pretty cool. But I don't want to raise my expectations... So if the word is "linn" I think it will be a love romance adventure signed by Daniel Handler. "Bunn" - In this case, I think it would be a story for young children.
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but: I think the opposite. I think Poison for Breakfast is fictional, and was made up by ASOUE!Lemony. It is a bit of his fantasy, where he could go about in public without being a wanted criminal, and if he thought he was poisoned it wouldn't be true. Yes, that could work too, but in this case we would have to assume the following scenario: ASOUE's Lemony Snicket imagined a fictional author also called Lemony Snicket who lives in a universe similar to our universe, the PFB universe. And in this fictional universe, (fictional from the point of view of Lemony Snicket who lives in Averse) the fictional Lemony Snicket was the author of one of the ATWQ books (and consequently of all the ATWQ and ASOUE books, as the narrator of PFB admits having written one of the ATWQ books [which from his point of view is fictional]). In this way the fictional character who is the narrator of PFB created the fictional character (from his point of view) who is the narrator of ASOUE in the fictional universe of PFB... and from there we would start an eternal cycle in which a fictional Lemony Snicket creates the next fictional Lemony Snicket, and at some point someone would wonder how the cycle started and my head is already aching thinking about that possibility... which is also fun.

Some additional information, I believe. Here, Esox Lucius, it says "Lemony Snicket's" on the front. Also note the dialogue about Lemony never arriving. It will probably be by Snicket, being in the Averse is not definite but possible.

Oh, thanks for that. I have not seen it. And now my hopes have been renewed... I'm afraid of being disappointed now.

i heard its called HARRY POTTER AND THE DOOMSPELL TOURNAMENT I remember this. Talking about leaks, I remember when Scholastic accidentally leaked information about the fifth book in one of their school catalogs. It was done by the publishers, but against the authors will.

So the information we have is: It is a work by Lemony Snicket. (100% sure). Title ends with "NN" - (65% certainty).
Now let's talk about the number of pages in the draft. Based on the pen width and spiral used, I would say there are between 90-120 pages in the original draft using A4 size.
Even though it's not possible to read what's written behind the scratch page (I tried, and still haven't at least), something still catches my eye. The spacing between the lines is really big. The main text font is also large, being about 50% of the cover title font size. If I had to bet, I'd say the cover title uses the Calibri font close to 28 pt. So the inner text would be 14 pt. If it's double-spaced, we average 23,000 words for 120 pages. For comparison, the main text of the Portuguese version of TBB is approximately 25700 words. Evidently my estimates have a very large margin of error, but I think it is possible to expect a work that is approximately the size of TBB or PFB, which diminishes the chances of being a book for young children.
edit: On the other hand, if he is using triple line spacing (which on closer inspection and testing seems to be the case) the word count in my estimation drops to 18,000 words in the case of 120 pages, and 13,000 words in the case of 90 pages... which already increases the chances of being a smaller book. (I don't know how many words there are in PFB, but I believe it should be around that. So my bet is that it's going to be a PFB-sized work).

Trying to estimate word counts from a single picture? This is the stuff I'm here for.
