I've spoken to my team at work and they said it would be really useful if we had someone who could read Hebrew, so I've started learning that Isadora Is a Door has a smartphone now so I will have to make him learn German.

baby language learning update
i start my french classes on monday - we had to do fill in one of those bubble multiple choice quizzes that a machine marks. everyone in the "letters" department was given one of two booklets, and there were 100 questions. after explicitly being told not to write in the booklet, some kid got yelled out in front of the whole amphitheatre because they did so in the first five minutes. the very severe professor is my new teacher. we got a black and white printed a4 folio and were the only ones who had to pick it up in person at a VERY precise hour (she was 8 minutes late). it's just printed paper stapled together, we are not allowed a replacement. my japanese neighbour asked "what if my house burns down?", the prof said too bad. happy happy joy joy. anyways if anyone has any tips for learning grammar that would be wonderful because somehow i am both fluent and giving dysgraphia at the same time.

well, my only advice for noticing/thinking about grammar more and writing more comfortably (in your native language or in foreign languages) is to read. it’s a bit daft to think about reading in a time frame, but 4 hours a day would be good. if you don’t have a job besides school.

oh, i don't mean to suggest i have an effective routine. i'm sure you speak french much better than me. my only regular exposure is french radio (RFI) which i listen to daily while eating, doing chores etc. when i read a book in french or italian i have to read it aloud comme un grand gosse. for greek i aim to read 100 lines a day, during which i used to make vocab lists to study afterward, but i'm too lazy for that now. i am up to my knows in commentaries and grammars, which is probably not worthwhile for modern languages. good to be a schmoozy benny franklin more than the desk-ridden johnny adams. i also, like, do homework.
