In the end of Book 9 Violet still had the hospital gown on and if you look at the first pic of Book 10 she has her old dress on. How does that work?

I noted that two, she must be magic, or something... Lemony and Brett Helquist should watch out for people like us.

maybe she had the hospital gown over her dress...and then when they escaped, she pulled it off....

I suspected that the original dress was in Olaf's trunk and at some point Violet retrieved it and put it back on after taking off the freak disguise. And Lemony never told us because we don't like to read about characters changing their clothes.

good point...because if Violet hadn't been wearing her dress under the hospital gown, then where else would Olaf put it...he might've thought it couldve been used as part of a future disguise...so maybe he kept it..and then maybe she got it..who knows..

That's just sick. I mean dressing up like a woman that's okay but dressing up like a teen. Disgusting!

And of course as everyone knows "the greater good"=villanous scheme! It is possible that she got it back from Olaf's trunk, but the question would be 'When?' Olaf was gone (in his car which was holding all his costumes) most of the book while he was retriving the lion's presumably from the man with the blah blah blah and his lady friend with vice versa features. And we see Violet with her siblings the whole time, and the only time they really had access to the car was when they were in it in the first chapter. Anyways, I think it was just a typo on Mr. H's part, I mean has been drawing these kids in the same clothes since 1999. Old habits are hard to break. Besides, Violet has...other...clothes on now.

I think they probably didn't even think about it.
I know I didn't.

Yeah, I noticed that right away. I don't know when she could've changed back into it. She still had the gown on when Lulu found out they were the Baudelaires. Maybe it was done on purpose, authors have the right to change the looks of their characters.
