Kinda like a drug addiction. Except it's worse than a drug addiction, becuase you're completely at the mercy of the publishers or postman or whoever is in charge of giving you what you long for. If they don't follow through, there's nothing you can do.

Yeah but all it takes to quit is a few days and that visit from the postman/publisher...

It's time.
It's still not up.

The most I can probably stay up is half-an-hour, but I'll stay up for as long as I can.

You might as well go to bed. With your luck, you'll check just one last time and that's when it will be up. Then what? Sleep or stay up?
My question is: Will the computer folks at H-C put in overtime and get it done tonight, or go home at 5:00 and try again tomorrow?

Same here, Dante. If it's not up by then, I'll get up early tomorrow morning.

Let the record show that it is 2:03 PM Pacific time, although there's always the possibility that my clock is a tad fast.
I'm beginning to not trust the publishers again.

Don't be too hard on them. My husband is a computer programmer and I hear about the frustration of deadlines all the time. But when you publish a date on a web page you really got to try to make that deadline.

This is where my timezone becomes a positive, it is early morning. I planned to go back to sleep though once it updated. But I'lll be here as long as I have to. JM sounded like such a nice fellow and then he goes and lies. Well that's the end of that.

Maybe not lied... Maybe JM just underestimated the time he'd need.
Eh, if it gets to half-past and still no update, those people who know the e-mail addresses might want to use them, and ask what's going on (politely).

I don't think we should bother these folks with e-mail right now. That will take away from them getting the update done. They should be working on that and not reading our e-mail.
(I'm taking a break now. I'll be back later.)

Okay, replace "half-past" with "7pm EST." By that time, if there's no update, we probably deserve some sort of an answer, even if it's just "Sorry... Taking longer than we thought."
