Anyways, the eye on count olaf's ankle in the earlier books looks different than the VFD eye.

Did anyone else notice that Jacques had his tatoo on the outer ankle? I thought it was the inner.

Did anybody notice that Lemony described the phrase written on the entrance to the VFD library as 4 words? THE WORLD IS QUIET HERE is 5 words!

in TSS on chapter (i think its ten but im not sure) it shows a picture of his tatoo and its on the inside of his ankle.

i cnat think of what would this mean, except the tattoo being fake. but surly olaf would remember to put it over the old one. ???most puzzling.

i went thru the books and here is what i found:
ok, cant find the sheet i wrote on, but i know what the info:
OLAFS tattoo is on the inside left ankle.
JACQUES tattoo is on the outside of his ankle
and before, his eye was normal, a non VFD eye. so was jacques. it changed in TSS

yes i noticed that too, the tatoo changed. plus, they mention the eys all over olafs house in TBB, but in TBBRE the cover of the book just shows a bunch of regular eyes (presumably olafs wall paper) and not v.f.d. eyes.
maybe the tatoo really is fake....what does that mean?
oh, and since jacques snickets' tatoo is on the outside, and olafs (usually) on the inside, maybe that shows which side of v.f.d. they're on (good/bad).

yes, but im saying that since the tatoo appears to switch (unless its an accident), it may not be a real tatoo. i dunno. thats just my guess since i doubt that mr. helquist would draw it wrong. i just believe that since its like a temporary tatoo, the good members (after the schism), decided to put it on the outside, and the bad members on the inside.
