I was looking at reviews on Amazon.com just because I wanted to see people's opinions on the book and I came across this: They probably haven't even read the book, and their grammar is terrible. Another dumb review: There were some reviews I enjoyed reading so if you would like you can read the other reviews.

[glow=orange,2,300]I thought it was a little bit boring because they needed to reveal some more secrets like which parent survived and what V. F. D. means. [/glow]

Some parts of those reviews made me inclined to think that they were jokey "please don't read this book" reviews, but if they are, they haven't been done very well.

Ch:Those people should not be aloud to read books if they thought the grim grotto was dumb. They obviously have bad taste in books especially if they find books that are spoofs of video games interesting.God well i thought the grim Grotto was good but thats just me.

Sometimes even the good reviews are detrimental:
I love teh book so much!!!!! its so good everyone shoud read it go out and buy it right now!!!!! U will thank me!
Yeah...I want to read something that someone with THAT sort of literary skill enjoyed....(That was a fake review, I made it up to illustrate a point, before anyone jumps on me)
As for the Grim Grotto, well, I was diaapointed with it. I think the books are getting too plot-heavy. You really need to be reading them in order to understand, and the attempts to summarize arent helping the story move along at all. The earlier books did amuch better job at being standalone stories, with amusing self-references for those following along. Now that the VFD plot is in full swing the story is beginning to lumber. It made me sad. T__T
