Hey, in LSTUA during the letter from Sally Sebald to LS she mentions some movies her brother, Gustav, has done. A few are quite interesting such as Lions in the Mountains, Leeches in the Lake, Surgeons in the Theater, Hypnotists in the Office, Realtors in the Cave and The Littlest Elf. (Things from ASOUE.) I wonder if there will be Bats in the Train Station, Gorillas in the Fog or Alligators in the Sewers in any future books. Also, the letter says Gustav is dead and I believe that Dr. Gustav Sebald is the same Gustav who was murdered by Olaf and, I think, worked with Dr. Montgomery. The letter also mentions something about Dr. Orwell being dead and that Sally is thankful it is not Lemony. She also hopes that LS's ASOUE will help people remember the director Dr. Gustuv Sebald. (Does anyone knoe what kind of doctor Gustav was )

I think he was the same kind of Dr. as Uncle Monty. I think that Lemony and Orwell have some sort of connection that we dont know about. And I think Bat in the Train Station is the most likely to happen in future books.

I have another idea that we could do. I like having groups but I dont think we should have groups for just the books. We could have one group find all the information on Beatrice, another on Lemony, another on Jacques, ect

I know it will take a while but i think someone should map all the locations. I think they could have some connection.
Thanx, Dave ;D

I am an expert on Beatrice. ANd the only ASOUE books I own and can reread are 1rare, 5, 10, and LSUA. For book 11, we know the bauds will end up in the sea. They will find a submarine, which may well carry them to a grotto. There is some hidden significance with those, what's in the sub? And how do u know the dr. was only 9 eefy?

Here is some stuff on Lemony...
He has a friend who is a snakecharmer in Egypt. (TWW: P. 26)
He once had business cards printed, saying that he was an admiral in the French navy, in order to escape a castle belonging to an enemy of his. (TWW P. 57)
LS has a friend named Gina Sue, who is a specialist, and her favorite saying is "You can't lock up the barn after the horses are gone." (TWW: P. 65)
There is a graveyard behind his home. (TWW: P. 80-81)
A women LS once loved, was picked up by an eagle, and flown to its high mountain nest. (TWW: P. 126)
He has a friend named Dr. Lorenz, who explained the scientific principles of convergence to him. (TWW: P. 178)
He once saw a sign made of dead monkies, reading 'Beware'. (TMM: P. )
LS once recieved a 200 page book, by carrier pidgeon, from Beatrice, explaining every single detail as to why she could not marry him. (TMM: P. 16)
A policeman once tripped Ls, while he was carrying a gypsy fortune-teller's crystal ball, which shattered into hundreds of pieces. She never forgave him. (TMM: P. 73)
He had a friend who made a sculpture for him, called 'Twisted, Cracked, and Hopelessy Broken'. (TMM: P. 74) The friend's name was Tatiana. (TMM: P. 100)
Lemony's chauffer and he were on a tiny island, once, surrounded by man-eating crocodiles. (TMM: P. 88)
Ls was once forced to swordfight a T.V. repairman. (TMM: P. 168)
Lemony Snicket lives near the sea and currently lives beneath it. (TMM: Lemony Snicket Aunthor Description)
He once hid in a mountain cabin. (TAA: P. 30)
LS has a friend, Professor Reed, who made a triptych for him, with fire on the first panel, a typewriter on the second, and a beautiful, intelligent woman on the last, called 'What Happened to Beatrice' (TAA: P. 55)
He was once woken in the middle of the night, and chased 16 miles by an angry mob, armed with torches, swords, and visious dogs. (TAA: P. 138)
LS once attended one of the famed masked balls, hosted by the duchess of Winnipeg. He was dressed as a bullfighter. (TAA: P. 167)
He had an arguement with a medical student, because if he hadn't let him borrow his speedboat, he would now be chained inside a very small, water-proof room, instead of sitting in a typewriter factory. (TEE: P. 68)
He was handcuffed in a room with a double-locked window. (TEE: P. 91)
He sleeps with 40 flashlights. (TEE: P. 137)

well im currently rereading TSS and I have one important clue that has been discussed before but i want to say it myself:
V.F.D. doesnt stand for Volunteer Fire Department!
Come on why would Handler pull out the secret of V.F.D. in the 10th book??

And I only have one thing to say... Look on the first page, of the 13th chapter, in The Vile Village... It has a picture of Duncan and Isadora's commonplace book's pages flying everywhere, after Officer Luciana (Esmé) shoots them with her harpoon gun...
Look closely, at the pages flying around... One clearly says Fire... One says Depa, and is torn off, but it is clearly Department, and we already know that the V., in V.F.D., stands for Volunteer...
Also, unirrelavant (may have spelled that wrong) to the subject, I noticed that one of the pages from the commonplace books, seems to say ____ Olaf... I have tried to make out the ____, and it appears to be the word Carl... Carl Olaf...

First of all, Olaf is his first name because in LSUA he goes by O. And his last name, along with Beatrices, and K (if she got married), are going to be inportant.

I thought T was just another ridiculous name he was using to disguise himself during the schism. I do believe his first name is Olaf. I also KNOW one of the baud parents at least survived the fire because in bbre notes it says that under a fountain of victorious finance quote"as readers of book the 7th will know, a fountain is like a top hat in that it provides space for hiding things, and I imagine the innards of a fountain would be particularly comfortable for someone who had just survived a fire' what fire occurred around the time of tbb? THe baudelaire fire! So that means a baud parent survived the fire, but which one? Mrs. probably because it tss it said Mr. would not rise up. So did she die later on in the series but before her kids saw her again? Or is she still alive?
