I think Lemony stole the sugar bowl from Esme, then Esme blamed Beatrice and killed her. Discuss. ;D

I have proof: THH, pg. 91: "...I will suddenly remember this thing I did, and think to myself, Was it really necessary? Was it absolutely necessary to steal that sugar bowl from Esme Squalor?" The reason Esme says "I want to steal from you the way Beatrice stole from me.", is because she thinks Beatrice stole the sugar bowl from her. If Beatrice had stolen from Esme, than LS wouldn't have said what he did in THH.

Lemony stole the sugar bowl; Esmé thinks Beatrice took it. Those are the facts.

Why did she ?what? And where's that in the books anyway? He quoted it incorrectly. That isn't in the books at all, don't worry about it. The poster misinterpreted something from Book the Sixth.

Yes, Lemony stole the sugar bowl from Esmé, but Esmé thinks the Beatrice was the one who took it.

Lemony stole the sugar bowl; Esmé thinks Beatrice took it. Those are the facts. Indeed. And if Lemony could have stopped beatrice from having tea with esme than esme wouldn't have blamed beatrice for stealing the sugarbowl, and a series of unfortunate events would have been erased.

Just cos Lemony says: was it necessary to steal that sugarbowl from Esme, doesn't mean that HE neccesarily took it. It could have been taken by beatrice, who was killed for it, and he regrets it, cos he told her to get it, or something liket that. It isn't ABSOLUTE fact that Lemony took it. Also, Handler is the kind of person who would make something obvious, then wriggle out through a wormhole and escape laughing while everyone is stunned to discover their mistake

Lemony stole the sugar bowl because he gets a quiver in his stomach when he thinks about "what HE did" he reinforces the fact that HE did it.

Thank you. It's abosolutely cerain Lemony stole it. But what'd he do with it after? Why didn't he somehow turn it into the authorities?

Thank you. It's abosolutely cerain Lemony stole it. But what'd he do with it after? Why didn't he somehow turn it into the authorities? Possible reasons: 1. The sugar bowl alone isn't enough. (Weak reason.) 2. He's suspected of being an arsonist himself by the same authorities, so approaching them might not be wise. 3. He's suspected of being dead by the same authorities, so approaching them might not be wise. 4. He never got the chance. Any other ideas?
