Seriously, what could have been better in your opinion? I thought that Widdershins's dialogue, and later Fiona's, was a bit too overwrought and "Aye"-ful. Olaf's theatrical laughter was also overdone--too much of a good thing, indeed.

Too many "Aye!"s. Or maybe give a little...hmm..MORE INFO ABOUT THE SUGAR BOWL?! Give MORE INFO ABOUT BEATRICE. PLEASE.
And mention Lemony's name for once!(Agreeing with swans)
Mention some MORE names of the books on the top shelf of the Baudelaire library, that the children could NOT read(go to my thread...)..
Hmm..what else....
Agreeing with swans again, saying that they should've mentioned other books in Widdershins and Fiona's library. And more poetry books..
I think that's all I can think of for now..
Oh. AND WIDDERSHINS SHOULD'VE TOLD MORE SECRETS. Like, tell us something about that huge sub that was chasing the Carmelita and the Queequeg, AND STOP saying that secrets could destroy them...

Fiona. Everything else I liked (including Widdershin's aye-ing and Olaf's laughing) but her aye-ing annoyed me like crazy. And I felt like vomiting when she kissed Klaus. The only good thing about that is that now I'm a K/I shipper.

I was hoping we'd see one of the Quagmires in it. That and the ending could've been more thought provoking.

The only thing that REALLY bugged me was the water cycle. Otherwise, it was all so much better than I'd been expecting.

Well he should have had the sugar bowl in it or more VFD revealings. Honestly leaving it all for book 12 and 13 is not smart.... also compare olaf in TGG to stephano in TRR. completely different. they should have been more sinister, as someone already said. My biggest beef was how it was like TCC. It just told me things I already knew. Ok not entirely, but nothing of great significance.

It needed to move the plot ahead more than it did. It felt like the whole book was too focused on Sunny and the travel to and from GG, the octopus...I guess I wanted more info on VFD, ect. Also, Olaf's new laugh made me want to fling myself from a closed window, then climb back up and do it again.

Redo Olaf and Esme entirely. Yes, we've learned they are not the King and Queen of Evil of goodness they could have been more sinister. Include the Sebald code for once. Phil should have left another note aside from the balloons, cake and the soda foreshadowing. Like he could have left a coded recipe on the table for Sunny.. but awe, hey isn't Phil a sweetheart? Though how did he know it was Violet's birthday? Maybe Phil is the daddy in disguise. p; Sebald - see my post on page 11 of the GG thread. Sunny probably told Phil that it was Violet's birthday.

Sunny said they had a speciial desert planned for the next day, which was Violets Fifteenth Date cake...whilst they were cooking the Chowder, Sunny must have mentioned it.
The laughter. I really wish Olaf was more evil in this...
The water cycle thing wasn't so bad, but I kepped skipping it and carrying on with the story.
The ramblings...it made me feel quite dizzy...
