I'm starting to feel a bit like the Baudelaires myself. *shifty eyes* This mystery is making us miserable. I think I'll call it the Miserable Mystery. But then again, you saw that coming.

So I was on lemonysnicket.com today and on the books page it says: The _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Book the Twelfth It only works at www.lemonysnicket.com/books.cfm, not any of the character-themed ones. But OMG. We have word lengths.

It is the official site, so we should be able to trust them. Hopefully.
The _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
The (nine letters) (five letters)? Sounds intriguing. Did we come up with anything that fits those guidelines?

The noun is 5 letters...that would fit either "foyer" or "lobby", two words we've speculated on as possibilities. The adjective could be "loathsome"...it's just one letter too long for "nameless", so he didn't just blank out "nameless novel". I can't think of an F adjective that long that would work, though.

It is the official site, so we should be able to trust them. surely we've been deliberately misled before, what's to stop them doing it now ;D

Telling characters apart might be difficult due to disguise... The arson and stuff might make it hard to tell what each character is doing since it would seem the bauds are doing arson when that's usually what the OTHER characters do.... I dunno. That's the most I can get out of it at this point.

The new "Author Tracker" message indicates that investigators of TNN.com actually will get the title before it's released to the general public. Joining the investigation at www.TheNamelessNovel.com is unlikely to make you feel any better, although you may discover the terrible truth before anyone else does.I hope I'm not misinterpreting that sentence. It really seems to be saying that TNN.com will reveal the title!

well maybe the laborious lobby
i'm on record as that geuss first cos they're obviously disguised as worker in a lobby
Laborious — Arduous: characterized by toilsome effort to the point of exhaustion; especially physical effort doesn't sound to good eh lol

If the Baudelaires have to do difficult work in the hotel/lobby, Laborious would work as the adjective. And since they're bellhops, it seems they're doing a difficult job.
However, let's keep in mind that the blanks could indeed be there to mislead us.
Maybe TNN.com will reveal the title at the same time it's officially released on the Today Show.

the title seems to be 9 letter word (?) and Hotel because Lobby is a bit to specific.
Its not Horid or Horrible we now know that at least.
