It just doesn't fit the pattern of how he names his books. Plus, HC said it would be a secret, so we have to disregard all these red herrings.

But which are clues and which are red herrings? Nobody knows. That's the mystery of it.

I meant that any phrase following the pattern "The (blank) (blank)" that is just freely given out must be regarded as not being the title, but a misleading red herring.

I have no idea regarding the title, but I hope it's original.

Has anyone said the Disturbing Denoumont yet? There's also the Dire, Devious, Dismal, Death-Defying, Deadly, Droopy, Distinctive, Dead, Drippy, Dreary, Dying, Dinky, Deep-dish, Dried-up, Drooling, Diabolical, Desperate, Detestable, Deceptive, Disgusting, Demonic, I'll add more later.

I don't think they'll put Denouement right in the title... I think it'll be either D,F,I, or L.

A possible D-noun is Doorway, and Dire and Dismal are both very good adjectives. However, I'm more inclined toward "foyer" or "lobby" titles, because the cover shows a scene in a foyer/lobby.

i agree with Jedi Master.... i doubt denouement will be in the title.... LS will make it suprising... maybe something to do with the plot of the book that we dont know about

When we find out the title, we'll probably either kick ourselves, or scratch our heads and say "Huh?" Or, I guess, just look at it and say "Hm. Yeah, that figures."
...So I guess that covers the full range of possible responses.

I'll probably think "Bah, I could have thought of that!", and then I'll certainly remember that I thought of that title before seeing it. I play games with my own mind like that.

I do stuff like that sometimes.
Of course, I'm hoping that the title is one of the ones that I've thought up secretly and not told anyone about (with one exception). Posting a possible title seems like a surefire way for it to be wrong, at the moment.
