I was just thinking about the next boxed set, and in theory it would make sense for Handler/Snicket to write another book like UA. For so far the sets are in threes, and that takes you up to book the 12th. (1-3 4-6 7-9 10-12) and this leaves 13 on it's own. Unless they do what I think they might, and release it in a set with the UA and another book.
I think they would at least release it with UA as these people are going to squeeze as much profit from the books as they can.
This leaves it as 2 books, people probably wouldn't want the two books as much as three. So this leaves a space for another book.
I know there have already been hints for another book but I was just thinking it would make sense (and profit) to write another, maybe UA style, book.
In conclusion, I think there will be another book, if not UA style then at least something to tie up loose ends, as it wouls make 15 books, 5 sets of three, perfect numbers for a boxed set. Unless they just put 13 in with 10, 11, and 12. But I don't think they will.
Am I making any sense?
Sorry if this has already been discussed.
I'll stand back and watch this thread die now.

I mean, what would they call 13, then UA, then another book? The Conclusion Concludes? 4. Yes, it has been discussed 5. DIE THREAD DIE 6. That's german for, the thread, the.

1.I doubt it will happen. 13, then UA, then another book just looks too weird. Spoilsport. I just think that would look odd. Nevermind. If it was 'The Gloom Looms' it says nothing about a conclusion. So the Gloom Looms forever. *pout* Hey look there goes my feelings.--------------> Don't try and cover your tracks, my feelings are long dead.

Supposedly, TGL is coming out not long after Book 12(I don't remember the exact date), so it probably just contains 10-12.
Snicket could sell Book 13 packaged with the Autobio, and possibly another add-on. I'd like to see an art book of some sort by Helquist, or maybe that book written by Olaf(which there are rumors of at a few little fansites. I'd like to see this, but I somewhat doubt it will be written.)

I highly doubt Handler will put 4 books in a boxed set. No. It would make sense to have 2 UA style books in with book the thirteenth and I'm SURE they could find a suitable name for it. I wouldn't want that 3rd book to be written by Olaf, it would probably be a load of rubbish full of arrogance like his notes on the back of newer books including the ominous omnibus.

I like the art book idea... Helquist could just add a few pictures of cool scenes and such. Also, Amber, I wish I could think of something spiffy in response to your dead feelings, but I can't.
At least, without using the word "soul"

At least, without using the word "soul" Please, continue.Unless in the last 2 books, a lot of explaining is done then I think another book may be needed. Then again we may be given just enough to work out what happens, but not to be sure. That's more likely.

Oh...then 13 either won't have a set, or will come with the UA, maybe the blank book or the RE, or some other UA-ish book.

Some speculate that the thirteenth book will be long enough to be the equivalent of an entire boxed set. I'm not sure of this myself, but it'll certainly follow the trend of increasing length.

It might be slightly larger, because you can't cram all the mystery answers into one book. That would be lame. They arrive at Hotel D then the rest of the book is talking, then Olaf sets the place on fire. Easy. Or not. I doubt it will be as big as 3 books.

I don't think Lemony will just give us the answers by having people explain things to the Baudelaires. Rather, he'll imply things as he more often does.

True, but I still think they will be larger. And he'll probably start giving a few things away in book 12...
