Last boxed set.

The 12 Lemony Snicket book comes out 4 days before The Gloom Looms. Unless Mr. Snicket is publishing two books in about four days the thirteenth book will not be in it. There are 3 things that could happen. 1. The thirteenth book would be with AU and another book like The Blank Book. 2. The thirteenth book will be a lone. Or 3. There might not be a thirteenth book. That is if AU is one of the thirteen books.

The UA is not Book the Thirteenth. For what reason would Handler randomly release the long-awaited book that would generate the most revenue? There is a good chance that Thirteen isn't even finished yet. Handler isn't the kind of author to randomly announce "Hey, by the way, book the thirteenth is my pseudonym's autobiography that doesn't carry any storyline whatsoever and you've had for two or three years already."

...Although that certainly would be surprising.

If Handler suddenly told us that there would be no true 13th book, but we'd get the UA instead of it, I think a mob of angry fans would attack him with pitchforks.

I don't remember if I've said this before, but I suspect that the boxed set after Gloom Looms will contain book 13, the UA, and possibly something else.

Has anyone considered that it doesn't have to be so systematic? I think that there will be four boxed-sets, then the thirteenth book stands alone.

I also think that the 13th book might stand on its own. As some have speculated, it may be long enough to essentially comprise its own boxed set.

I certainly hope so, I need all the plot and information revelations I can get in the last book, and more pages at least point in that direction...

I dont think that daniel handler would say that TUA is the 13th book... there will either be 4 box sets with 13 alone or 4 sets with 13 and the UA and something else (maybe the blank book)...

I'm not so sure they'd put the blank book in a set, but that is possible.

And there's the possibility, which I've mentioned before, that Book 13 simply won't be in a set. Perhaps it will be as long as three previous books, or nearly so, and hence be effectively a boxed set unto itself.

That would be a wonderful surprise, indeed. Although I do hope it leaves some mysteries.
