They probably won't have a title for a while. However, they do have some important information:
[PSEUDOSPOILERS AHEAD] Get ready for the next episode in A Series of Unfortunate Events! Continuing the chilling adventures of the Baudelaire orphans, Lemony Snicket's 12th installment promises more surprises at every turn and takes fans ever closer to the solution of Snicket's mysterious puzzle.

Most books, CDs, and DVDs come out on tuesdays. I don't see why they would release it on a Thursday. Can't wait though.

Check your calendar. October 18 IS a Tuesday. I think she was commenting on speculation on the previous page that the book would come out on a Thursday.

I think she was commenting on speculation on the previous page that the book would come out on a Thursday. I don't mean to be argumentative, but the only mention of Thursday I see is from JacquesIsNoVillain saying the release would NOT be on a Thursday. I guess that's why I like to use the quote function when referring to several posts back. Anyway, only 254 days until TUESDAY, October 18!

No, no, I mean on the last few pages people were saying that they'd thought the book might come out on a Thursday, and SnicketFan13 was saying that she didn't see any reason why it would in the first place.

Yes yes I know it's a tuesday. So there are surprises and we get CLOSER to solving the puzzle of Snicket? Wow, how informative. I wish they came out with tantalizing hints like that more often.

I was commenting on the mention that someone thought they would release the book on a thursday to coincide with something mentioned in a VFD calendar or something. I know the book is coming out on a tuesday.

*****NEWS FLASH*****
I just got e-mail back from the head of publicity at Harper-Collins. I asked her to confirm the October 18 release date. Her reply was "As far as the release date for Book the 12th, we do not have an official one on record.."
So, either B&N is wrong (Amazon doesn't have a date yet) or H-C is just covering up what the release date is. If H-C is covering up, where did B&N get that date?

Maybe the Barnes & Noble release date is just an estimate. They do it all the time with video games.

I wondered if perhaps B&N got a leak on the release date and the woman I spoke with is just covering. But, if it were leaked, what would be the harm in confirming it? Are they just closing the barn door after the cows are out?

This is disconcerting... The release date isn't even for certain yet? *shivers*
