We already know that Olaf is alive, but the readers of the Punctilio(most of the world, it seems) don't. And they probably wouldn't believe that if it were revealed, so firmly are they convinced that the Baudelaires murdered Omar.

I really hope it's the parents. That "Even your parents" bit in TGG fascinated me.
I doubt it'll be a villain murdered in a straightforward fight. And I would be insulted if the orphans could beat the Sinister Duo!

If the Baudelaire kids do kill someone it would be an accident though it would be funny if Esme or Carmelita died. Especially Carmelita. I don't think it will be them more likely to be someone we have not yet met.

Perhaps the Baudelaires try to trap someone, but end up killing them. Or am I too fixated on Mystery the Second? I just have this vision...
I think the person will be a new character, somebody they don't know too well, haven't spoken to, probably a villain. But this is just what I'm getting from my immediate thoughts and ideas. I don't think the Baudelaires be responsible for the death of a lead character, anyway.
I would be insulted if anyone could beat the sinister duo.

Maybe the Baudelaires were responsible for trapping whoever's in that elevator. I'm thinking back to the task that included the coded message "Three spies, but none saw the whole truth". So they might have trapped someone in an elevator, but ended up killing him/her(perhaps because the brake failed). They might not even know they killed someone, if nobody saw the whole truth.

Which reminds me: I hadn't noticed the "interrupted justice" yesterday, but it makes me think of Justice Strauss, too. Of course, if the J.S. mystery is going to be solved in B12 - or at least made far more prominent - then she'd have to put in an appearance, really.

Yes- remember that clue supoussedly for book 11, "People with the same enitials, leads to much injustuce" or something. I can't remember but this could be to do with book 12 Dante.

"Many individuals have the same initials, which can lead to much injustice". Justice Strauss could be "interrupted" in her legal duties and/or attempts to sort things out if she's suspected of whatever the suspicious JS was suspected of.

That is good, but they still didn't tell us the title.

I also think that the person in the elevator may have somehow been the Baudelaire's doing. Or maybe it is just somebody we haven't even learned about or seen yet.

i don't know where to put this message but seeing as we are kind of discussing the doomed dialogue here, does anyone know who book blast is??? Is it just some company that hapersollins/ daniel made up??? I'm just questioning its existence because the questions were suspiciously perfect in allowing daniel to answer with so much wit and humour (e.g.Will you tell us the missing title? Esatz Elevator, and Do you know what state he is in? Distress)

I searched for "Book Blast" and while there are several kids' reading events and things with that name, there seems to be no Book Blast company. It does seem that Handler made up that interview himself, which was very clever of him.

Many interviewers set up questions that allow prepared answers. Actors are asked questions that lead to the the stories they want to tell, comedians are asked questions that lead to punch lines from their routines. It's nothing unusual or sneaky - I see that all the time on talk shows.
However, the "Book Blast" source does seem fishy. . .
