an accidental murder will be the most likely outcome...however i think it would be more interesting if the Baudelaires killed some person because they caught up in the heat, under pressure and confused....hopefully a main character ;D

I have a strange feeling it would be Justice Strauss if she is in the book.

I have a strange feeling it would be Justice Strauss if she is in the book. That would certainly put a big line through one possible happy ending. Hm, you might be onto something. And it would certainly be heartbreaking for the Baudelaires if they were responsible, if only partially, for her death.

Lemony's said that the ending of the series won't be a huge tragedy, but even if Strauss ends up dead the Baudelaires just might find safety somehow. And maybe justice is interrupted when Strauss is accidentally killed, through the actions of the Baudelaires.

Yes, that's an interesting idea. The first thing that came to mind when I read "interrupted justice" was Justice Strauss, but then I assumed that it was referring to something else. However, now it appears my first instinct could possibly have been correct...hmm. Ingriguing.

There was a picnic of sorts on Mount Fraught in TSS, and maybe the Baudelaire parents and Jerome had a picnic there while on the mountain climbing trip, the one when something came swooping out of the sky.

“You’re adventurous! I like that in a person. Your mother was adventurous, too. You know, she and I were very good friends a ways back. We hiked up Mount Fraught with some friends-gosh, it must have been twenty years ago. Mount Fraught was known for having dangerous animals on it, but your mother wasn’t afraid. But them swooping out of the sky-”

You know, I wouldn't be surprised at all if that were true. But you know what would be dreadful? (And now , as I write this, I'm starting to believe it...) If they accidentally killed Kit. Seeing as right now she's the only one who can properly help them. ^_~ EDIT: Justice Strauss....*ponders* That's probably what DH/LS had in mind...an accidental murder of a "good guy." Oh Gawd.

And beheading doesn't seem really likely for an accidental death. Incidentally, the 2004 calendar says "Summer is over and gone, over and gone. Summer is dying, dying" on TGG's release date, but I don't think that had anything to do with TGG.

Maybe they'll be putting up a new sheet of glass on the top floor of the the Hotel, just to be nice, and Justice Strauss is sunbathing underneath them, and spying (maybe on the bad guys) and they drop the sheet of glass onto her neck, severing her head!
Perhaps a bit violent, but I like it! :-D
