Who are the people on the front of the cover?

Most of them seem to be unidentified guests.

The only person on the front cover that I recognize is Kit Snicket, and possibly Nero. She's the one to the left of Klaus. The man in the top hat could be any number of (new) characters or just some random guy.
As for the first chapter, it's 18 pages long, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to copy large amounts of text. As for chapter summaries, the link that was posted earlier was pretty much dead on.
If you've been following thenamelessnovel.com, I can tell you that much of the speculation about Mystery Two is wrong.

Chapter 7 - The Baudelaires meet and discuss the events of the preceding three chapters. The poem of the Six Blind Men and the Elephant gets a mention, and turns out to be very important.
Unfortunately, the mysteries begin to unravel at this point, and any summaries beyond this pretty much spoil the whole novel. Handler's crafted a bizarre masterpiece with this plot, and I don't feel comfortable revealing too much about this.
I can give you a few sources that Handler seems to be working from: The opera "La Forza del Destino" gets a mention early on, and certain events may or may not parallel this (I don't know much about it beyond Lemony's description, so take this with a grain of salt). Also, Plato's allegory of the men in the cave takes on a very funny and very sad tone in the last few chapters. I don't remember if the allegory is mentioned in this book or one of the preceding ones (I read all the books this week to prepare for the new one), but this is how I interpreted the events at the end.

Thanks and I understand completely! By the way, was there a letter about book 13 on the last page like usually?

For chapters 4-6 i think you can read them in any order right? and it tells you on a page and on that page are the pics from mystery 2. but do those 3 chapters have their own pics in additon to the three in a row?

There's a very cryptic note about book 13 on the last page. It's written on a napkin and just mentions that the "end is coming."
Chapters 4-6 occur at the same time, and each have their own picture about the respective events. Each chapter ends at the exact same time, with each orphan wondering the exact same thing. The trichtype for TNN.com appears on two separate pages and are both labeled as "Not a Chapter." The events in the trichtype may not occur in these chapters. I'm still trying to figure out exactly why they appear here, other than the coded message we got from TNN.com is highly applicable to this section.

ok, thanx. do you think you know what the clue in the last pic is, if you do tell us what it is. I'm not entirely certain what you're asking here. Do you mean who's in the top hat in the elevator? I don't know for certain. It's not really covered, unless in an offhand-comment by Snicket that I missed. Like I said, people read a lot more into this picture than was there.
