I hope so, but it doesn't sound as if Kit's mission to find Widdershins was successful... I wonder what Hector will do when he sees the hotel in flames..

The fire will have been the signal Kit will have watched out for meaning they will have had to land somewhere clearly saving Justice in the process!

Just because they have to land somewhere else doesn't mean they're going to save Justice Strauss. I wonder if they'll simply see and follow the Baudelaire's and Olaf's boat...

Unfortunateley i think there will be no survivors of the fire but Justice will have been seen in my opinion!

I thought the idea was that the fire was their signal to stay away from the Hotel Denouement. Thus, Justice Strauss would not have been saved by the SSHAMH. If she took the stairs down from the roof in time, she might have made it, but Lemony implies that she does not.

I don't think ALL of them died. Maybe just one or two that couldn't make it.

I think that just like any other fire there is a passage way and most of them will escape through that!

It'll be interesting to learn in book the thirteenth who died and who survived. Esme and Carmelita could've died since it said that the bads would not argue with either female again. \ There could be a secret passage out, you're right...

*shrug* I personally think most of the people got out since even asoue adults aren't stupid enough to stay in a building if there's a chance of fire, look at what happened in thh and tcc, people ran everywhere to avoid getting burnt to a crisp... And the Baudelaires did see figures running around on the ground who could shout to the upper stories that there was in fact a fire.
