I thought that it was very good! I gave it a 10. It is now my favourite book in the series. And at the end I think that most of the characters from the previous books might have escaped from the fire through an underground passgeway (if there was one).

I give it a 10. It's my second favourite, after book 11. (TGG is strange. You either hate it or love it) Lot's of action, extremely well written, good length. Spoiler: I looooooooooove the whole" questioning ethics of the sides of the schism" thing, that was started in TGG. That's one of the reasons I love book 11 so much. It gives you a sense of an espionage book.(or is it just me?)

I think this might be my fav book in the series, but there might be another book in the series I'd give a ten, simply because it served its own purpose better or played its own part better, but book 12 was still higher up. Does that make sense?

I didn't like the ending. I was thoroughly baffled.

A lot of people didn't like the ending. I was... ok with it I guess. It wasn't my ideal ending by any means though. But I won't really viciously complain about it.

The ending was pretty confusing, but I really enjoyed it. Book 12 challenged a lot of our assumptions about the heroes and villains, and generally confused things. I greatly enjoyed the last few chapters, though.

It was interesting to say the least. I'll have to simply not say anything more on this particular subject in this particular thread.

I'd rate a 9. It probably wasn't my favourite, because it didn't like go over a day and half in chronology. But it was pretty awesome and answered a lot of questions!

I loved how the Bauds actually found stuff out and I loved two of the three Denouement triplets (guess which two). I loved the Sebald Code, I loved the beginning of Chap. 7, I loved meeting Kit, I loved how Snicket was in it himself. Just an overall great book. Gave it a nine because of the...yeah. I dunno.

I gave it a 9 because it could've been better in my view (revealed more, had a better ending, been less ambiguous seeing as it is the second to last novel in the series)

The only flaw for me is that it's a bit rushed at times.

I gave it a ten, comparative to the other books in the series. It is my favorite book now. ;D

So I decided to savor the book, since there's not going to be a new one for a while, and I just finished it yesterday. I don't know if it's because I read it over a long period of time, but I found it very confusing and disorienting, and I think it raised more questions than it answered. It also wasn't as funny as the other books, maybe because we're getting into deeper and darker matters now. Not my fav. Still, I'd give it an 8, because any book in this series deserves at least that.
