This may belong in Book 13 speculation, but I'd like for a thread to be about it cuz it's something I've been wondering about for quite a while now.
Will all the holes be filled? When I say holes I mean will all the mysteries be solved? For instance, how is he going to explain the timeline? I can't think of a certain one right now, but I know there are plenty of inconsistencies in that alone.
Because Book 13 has to make up for a lot of mysteries, and he can't really just flat out answer all the questions, say on the Unofficial FAQ. Anyone got any ideas?

I think he's going to leave a lot of questions open, or just hint at the answer. A lot of backstory will be for the readers to come up with themselves, too. As for the timeline, that's in such knots that I don't think it can be explained.
Basically, I think there's a lot in aSoUE that we can just make up ourselves.

Like Dante said, there is a lot we will probably just have to make up, since there are some instances in which very little information is given. We will most likely be given a few answers in The Notorious Notations and The Beatrice Letters, which are coming out before Book the Thirteenth (as far as I know, at least). When people keep re-reading the series once it is over, a great deal will probably be discovered then. I think it just takes a while of reading everything over and putting a number of different clues together.

I agree with Dante and Metaboola! (in Simish), although it would be nice to know everything, almost like an appendix(that what I'm thinking of?) but I doubt it would happen.

I think the only mysteries which will be solved by the end of the series are the mysteries which are presented to us in TUA (that is the real chapter names)

I sorta agree about the rereading bit, I reread UA today and was surprised how much I discovered.

That quote proves that Handler himself isn't sure what happened in some places; he's subtly admitting that there are holes in the plot and we can fill them in ourselves.
Book 13 and The Notorious Notations will probably tie up some loose ends, but I also suspect they'll create more.

Agreed. If all of the questions and mysteries are answered, there wouldn't be anything left to imagine and play with. But if none of the mysteries are answered, then it becomes too annoying to bother with speculation anymore.
