Here is the quote if anyone is interested "Scalia," Sunny said. She meant something like, "It doesn't seem like the literal interpretation makes any sense," but her siblings did not think it wise to translate. pg 268 TPP
Yes that was quite witty of Sunny but then again almost everything she says nowadays has connotations connected to it that we can almost understand what she is trying to say without Lemony's explaination.

It's a political reference to a conservative Supreme Court justice, who favored a very literal interpretation of the constitution: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonin_ScaliaEdit: And I think there was a thread on this subject a while ago.

Wait what does Scalia mean? If you don't know who Scalia is, then I hope that either (a) you don't live in the USA or (b) you are under the age of 12 - if you don't fit either of those you need to learn more about the way your government works. And Antenora - sorry if this is a repeat. I only just finished reading the book (well - actually, listening to the audiobook) and didn't want to come here until I finished.

That is indeed a witty thing for Sunny to say. I just love Sunny's little words that have different meanings behind them.

Sunny's first political reference was "Busheney!", which means "You are an evil man with no concern whatsoever for other people."
