I don't think aunt Josephine was in VFD, I think that her husband Ike was in VFD, That will explain why the Ivan Lachrymose book was under the bed.

Or maybe Ike and Josephine were both in VFD (like a husband-wife partnership-- Awwww!) and when Ike died (while on a mission for VFD [Josephine could have lied; maybe he was doing some secret VFD stuff on the lake]) Josephine quit. Or maybe not. S'been a while since I read TWW, I might've gotten my facts mixed up.  |
