I just don't see why some people don't like..um...you know, Quigley. There's nothing wrong with him!
The way I see it, Duncan had every oppertunity to move in and show Violet he liked her. Quigley showed her right away, without any hesitation.
I do think it's kind of weird how Violet liked him right off too. Maybe she only liked him because he reminded her of Duncan? Who knows.
Opinions please!

same here, why do ppl dont like him?
i think he's the best Quagmire. first, he got into those Snow Scouts to investigate more about his siblings making him become somewhat of a spy already, he seems to be a heck of a lot more independent(duh), very clever especially how he managed to spend some time alone with violet without being so obvious........well, to Klaus anyways.

same here, why do ppl dont like him? I have a reason, very simple too. DUNCAN IS BETTER THAN QUIGLEY. If thats not good enough for you than oh well, we don't have to have a reaon for every thing do we. I don't know about you, but I live in America, and last time I checked it was a free country. |

See, but Kaya- I think what Goonie is trying to say is that people not unlike yourself seem to hate Quigley with an unfounded passion that seems to feed solely off of the fact that Quigley isn't Duncan.
No one is saying that Duncan is that bad of a catch, they're just stating their opinion, just as you are...! If someone prances around saying they hate a character just because they exist, without backing up their argument, we have just as much a right as anyone to question their motives.

I DO have a reason why I don't like Quigley.
I am REAL partial to odler characters who I have know longer. Take The Two Towers for example I really don't like Faramir ecause he seems to take Boromir's place(bad ex. I know best thing I could think of). I really cannot get myself to like new characters, no matter how hard I try. Also, I like characters I can't realate to.
Yes, you can think this is a stupid reason if you want.

Opinions please! Duncan was smart by not showing he loved her at first.  The thought might scare a girl so he took it causiosly unlike impatient Quigley. Duncan and Isadora were new characters once too, and because of that I didn't like them until they showed up in the Ersatz Elevator. I know Duncan and Isadora were new once, but TAA was the first 1 I read. TVV was the last 1 I read besides TSS. |

heehee. i think the reason everyone is so bitter towards dear ol' Quigly is because he stole violet from duncan. you're thinking 'well duh!' but the thing is, we wouldn't hate him as much if Duncan was a bad guy. he's just so cute and polite and i cant stand the thought of his heart being broken. well, why is his heart broken? because of his brother of course! that's why we kind of get this feeling that it's QUIGLY'S fault that Duncan's going to be a sad little bachelor. it's NOT though...but i cant help but want to pinch him  . hmph. |
