Aagh! I hate Mr.Poe. He is so dense and unobservant! He never listens to the Baudelaires and always shoos them away. He doesn't help them at all and is always coughing. He's useless!

Please use proper english. Thank you! Yes, Mr.Poe does suck, big time. Hopefully he will be killed off, or fired from his job, therefore preventing the Bauds from ending up in a crappy home, where people force them to work, or the gaurdians end up dying.

Have any of you been to lemonysnicket.com? On the trading cards pretty much everything on Mr. Poe's has to do with money, obviously He probably wouldn't recognize Olaf if he slapped him in the face w/ his handkerchief and pulled his stupid hat over his stupid, stuffy head! AAAARGH! sorry... Why DOES everyone hate Quigley?! He's cool!

Yeah, what's the big deal with everyone giving the Quagmire triplets a hard time? I've heard it over and over but with no reasoning behind it. Could someone explain this?
Oh, and I voted for Mr. Poe. Count Olaf and Esme are evil, but Mr. Poe is _supposed_ to be good but never helps out. You expect the villans to be bad, but when the one of the good guys is incompetent it's very frustrating. I'm going back and forth with the theory that he is a VFDer and has a reason for letting the Baudelaires go like this, or he's on the evil side of the schism and is doing this on purpose. Or maybe he's just an air-headed banker. I don't know yet.

Why do I hate Quigley, you may ask? Well, it's because (1)he has a poor personality and (2)he stole his brother's girlfriend and (3)I don't like new characters and (4)he isn't telling us everything.
!: He has not laughed at all of said anything to make me laugh (unless you count his ridiculous story). 2: I know there is basicaly no proof of this, but we all know they must of done something up there on that ledge. Also at least Duncan got to dnow the girl first. No being told about her does not mean that he knows her. 3: That simply I just can't get used to new characters. Don't even try "Duncan and Isadora were new once, too," TAA was the first one I read. 4: He doesn't tell us how he found out about the telegram never being seen by Poe. You may deny it but you all dnow he isn't telling us everything. I don't think he's telling the complete truth, either.
Thats why I don't like Quigley if you don't like it then oh well.
This has been a short report by Keya

Look, what I'm trying to say is Duncan at least got to know Violet first thats a lot mure than I can for Quigley. Who cares if he didn't know, any boy whos worth anything would at least get to know a girl first, not just like her because she's pretty. And again Jacques telling Quigley about the Baudelaires does not count as him knowing anyone of them. LS was impling through out all of TAA that Violet and Duncan liked each other.

Thank you for clearing that up, Keya. Finally some reasoning. You have some good points, but I like the Quagmires, Quigley particularly.
1. His 'flat personality'? I don't see much variation in several personalities in this series; Violet, Klaus and Sunny for example. Doesn't bother me much, but has anyone noticed that their personalities are a bit similar? He's just serious, on a mission, that kind of thing. He's not the kind of character you'd want to be wacky or eccentric right now.
2. 'Stole Violet'? He didn't know about Duncan and her. We'll see how this story develops, but why do I thing that the VFD history is repeating itself?? I mean, you can pair up the Quags with the Snickets, and this love triangle seems vaguely familiar too. But I'm ranting. Ignore that and note the note above.
3. This whole " Doesn't like new characters" thing is your opinion. A fine one, at that. But I like new characters so... I guess we can agree to disagree on that one, yes?
4. Not telling them everything? I doubt he meant to not tell them that. He's their connecting to the VFD- he's a VFDer, I'm convinced. That's how he knows about them, the telegram, all that stuff. Tell me if I'm missing something that disproves that.
You made some good points I never thought of. Thanks.
Oh- edit. I have to agree with you. Snicket was implying that Duncan and Violet had something going in AA, so that does clash.
