She's not betraying anyone. Just because she cares for someone besides her siblings doesn't mean she's betraying them. Besides, if it weren't for Quigley, Sunny wouldn't have been rescued.

Yeah, but it's kind of like she's betraying him. [glow=red,2,300]Um, no it's not. Violet and Duncan only met and liked each other, but then duncan left violet safely in a hot air balloon with hector! Quigley, was comforting and as i said, he likes Violet .... a LOT. Violet seems to have gotten over Duncan quite quickly . I'm afraid Duncan missed his chance...[/glow]

Violet's found someone intrepid, cool, and new. Please get over it Quigley's a good guy.

I never said anything about her siblings, I was talking about Duncan, mynameisjaques.
Okay, geez, fine, it's not like she's betraying. Goodness, you don't have to get all mad over fictional realationships.

Who says I'm getting mad? I'm just debating. I do think Quigley is cool and I do hate Olaf more than any other character because he brought down VFD with the schism and burnt down so many wonderful places. It's like in Star Wars how a handful of people brought down the jedi and jedi=VFD in this analogy.

Of course I love darth Vader he is anakin the chosen one who knocks the empreror flat to save his son etc... No I don't like Olaf. How could u like a person who did all of those awful things? Just picture yourself in the Baudelaire Mansion, laughing by the dining table with your friends, or in the reptile room learning about the most fascinating of animals, or you could be in the VFD headquarters learning every single one of its secrets in the library so u wouldn't have to waste time posting here while u looked out the window at the gorgeous frozen waterfall. Now, because of onerous olaf all of those beatiful things have ceased to be. Now do u understand why I hate him?

Just watch Return of the Jedi. Luke's getting zapped and Vader grabs his master and hurls him down into an abyss risking his life to save his son. then he dies. But this is about asoue and I am telling u that I HATE Olaf and his ridiculous associates more than I hate spinach and that's saying something.

I agree with Jacques.
Picture your house. Or, if you don't like your house, picture yoru dream house. Nice bed. Enormous library. Entertainment devices that suit you. If you like your parents, imagine them. Or, if there's some animosity between you and your parents, imagine your dream parents. They love you, you love them. Now, you go to the beach one day and all of it's gone. Including your parents who can never be replaced. And you're taken away to a grimy house. You're thrown itno a dark, damp room and you're abused. Your baby sibling--pretend you have one--is hung out of a bird cage. You if you're a male, or your brother--pretend you have one, is slapped and picked on. You, if you're a girl, or your sister--pretend--is forced to marry this wretched man who abuses you, the same man who burned the house down and killed your parents. And after he gets the money, you will be killed. Think about all the emotinal and physical torment the Buadelaires went through only in book one. How would you like it? What if Olaf were real? I bet you won't be calling him the best if he were.

He puts ur hobbies to good use, and he lets u see a good movie everynight. Now he has been murdered by Olaf. Even after he did all that stuff before. I would be so effing mad I would grab Olaf by the neck and forget that I'm 14 and he's an adult he'd be gone!

Who here hates Mr Poe? I'm making a quick defense of him, do not ask why. The goal here is to convince u to hate Olaf more than u hate Mr. Poe. 1) Mr. Poe choosing Olaf as 1st guardian. Well, either this is the fault of a real relation between the bauds and olaf and a proximity advantage. Or is was some bad fraud Olaf made up. Both of which are not Mr. Poe's fault. Olaf was a grossly inappropriate guardian for all but Carmelita. But it's all Olaf's fault. 2) As for the rest of the guardians it's all the fault of relation. Uncle Monty was an excellent decision by Mr. Poe, unfortunately due to Olaf he's gone and Poe had to choose less satisfactory guardians like Josi and Sir. Was Sir even a relative? 3) Not sending them to justice strauss. Alright this is hard to defend. I have honestly no clue why he didn't send them to her after book 4 when he ran out of relatives. but once again he wanted the best for them, and schooling seemed to be the best, so... 4) Ignoring the telegram. Not his fault at all. His sister(editor of Punctilio) sent him the article about telegrams being sent to banks being dangerous, the article was nonsense, the reporter who was in Esme's pocket probably made it up at her bidding. He received the article and unfortunately followed his sister's advice ignoring pleas for help from the bauds and his sister, ironic huh? 5) Having no clue about Baud murder accusation and such. Well is this really his fault? Their names were published incorrectly in the paper so he has no reason to assume that they have left VFD village, and though he should have visited and found out by now we don't know if he's looking for them or not. Basically, he's just a workaholic banker who listens to bad advice, works too much to pay attention to his orphans, and needs a generous soul to buy him cough syrup. Besides in LSUA he reveals the only section he reads is the financial section so he really has no way of knowing about them.
