I voted for "Disguising herself as an adult nurse" even though the people who attended were a far way away and/or stupid enough to believe it.

In the begining of the series, I find it odd that they've called her an infant and yet she never drinks out of a bottle and there is no mention of diapers. Oh don't be silly, Sunny,"Klaus said. "We've seen you in your underwear hundreds of times. One more time won't matter." But Klaus was wrong. He wasn't wrong about the underwear- if you are a baby, your family will see you in your underwear many times, and there's no use being embarrassed about it-but he was wrongin thinking that by saying "Nnphnn!" Sunny had been complaining about getting undressed in front of her siblings. TEE pg56 I don't think they had nappies back then...Well definately not plastic. Maybe cloth? I assume Daniel doesn't find it necessary to change the atmosphere of the book by putting in detail about Sunny having her nappy changed. I think maybe Sunny will lose a bit of dignity and independence with that information given.

The disguise was easy, the people around her were incredibly gullible and it wasn't hard to find the equipment.

The disguise was easy, the people around her were incredibly gullible and it wasn't hard to find the equipment. But she not only fooled the audience, she also fooled the troupe members (Flacutono and O. Lucafont) who mistook her for one of the powder-faced women. They must be the really, really gullable ones. People who didn't know what the nurse should look like might take her for a midget nurse.

Exactly. It wasn't a feat as much as a bit of luck, that the troupe members happened to be so completely naive and gullible as to believe that someone could change their size and appearance at will like that in mere minutes. They redemonstrate this by falling for the wolf baby disguise in the next book, sunny's own ability really has nothing to do with it, rather it's the peoples' INability to see through disuises that makes it possible.

I think that the wolf baby disguise was rather more convincing than the nurse disguise (mainly due to the fact that it contains the word "baby").

I'm rather surprised, though, that Hooky fell for the "Her mother fell in love with a handsome wolf" thing. But it seems most people in ASoUE world are pretty gullible.

I just can't believe (well I can but you get my point) how many people actually fell for her disguise. That's why I voted for it because so many people had to be convinced.

I agree that all of Sunny's feats are remarkable but I still think that any disguise that worked well was only by fault of the surrounding people being gullible and plane stupid. For example Esme thinking that the powder faced girls had been able to shrink into the size of a 13 year old boy let lone an infant. I also point out that perhaps Dr.Orwell isn't a skilled swordsman. o I would think that the elevator shaft is her most remarkable feat.

Yes, I do agree the adults are clearly gullible but it's to the extent of their stupidity that's remarkable for me.

Yay, my 100th post!!! Climbing up the elevator shaft, definitely. And with only her teeth? Impossible!

Exactly. I mean, come on, how soft can an elevator shaft be? *waits for proof that elevator shafts are indeed soft which some smart person will probably present him with thus proving him wrong*

I would like to be that intelligent person but unfortunately I agree with you...maybe the material they used back in their time was not very strong...maybe clay? or it could be made out of the same material the jail cell was made out of, which could be softened by the fluid from sunny's saliver, *shrugs* unlikely but still

No, if it were made of brick it certainly wouldn't be soft enough for her to go ahead and put her tooth in, it took them hours to soften the brick, no it'd have to be some other substance... But I doubt they'd make a 66 story elevator shaft made out of soft stuff...

I suspect that the brick walls of the shaft had become a bit damp and rotten with age, so you could stick something sharp into the wall if you really tried.
