Fiona. Isadora was just very affectionate for the first friend she'd ever had since her home burnt down, killing three members of her family (or so she thought).

I concur with Dante. I don't think there was any romantic attraction between Klaus and Isadora in TAA.

I'm not thinking romantically, but I think that Klaus likes Isadora more (than Fiona) as a person, as Fiona has apparently betrayed and left him for the company of his worst enemy.
However, I don't think there was any large love between Klaus and Isadora, while there was at least a slight attraction between him and Fiona (if only on her side, although I think he liked her a bit too).

Ah. You've just made me realise a mistake I'd made, Flaneur - I'd read the question as "Who does like Klaus better?" i.e. "Which of these two likes Klaus the most?"

I'm not mocking you, I just find it amusing how things can be read different ways. It took me several tries to read your writing "Who does like Klaus better?" as that, instead of "Who does Klaus like better?" If the question were "Who does like Klaus better?", the answer would definitely be Fiona. As you said, Isadora was simply happy to find an amiable person with so much in common with her after experiencing such a tragedy as you did. Fiona liked Klaus romantically - not that I'm belittling the platonic relationship, but I think that a romantic like for someone is stronger. |

Klaus definitely likes Isadora better, in my opinion. I always felt that Klaus had been separated from girls his own age for so long that he would like any girl that he saw by the time Fiona came along. That is why he appeared to like her so much. Even if he doesn't realize it now, I think he knows that Isadora is a much better person and friend.

I never saw any real connection connection between Isadora and Klaus, it seemed more plutonic than anything...But I think Klaus really, genuinly liked Fiona...And then at the end she was so volitle that he wasn't sure but I always got the impression he liked her best.
