Has anyone noticed that Violet and Esme kinda look alike?
I mean, in the picture of her in THH she kinda reminded me of Violet so I dunno.
Olaf is Esme's boyfriend, and he also says that Violet looks pretty (EWWW PEDO!)
so if he likes Esme, he might like Violet cos they look alike...
Perhaps Violet and Esme are related (CONSPIRACIES!)
perhaps Esme is her mom! That WOULD be weird.
Oh well...

Perhaps, but Violet more resembles somebody who once wore a wedding dress and is no longer alive.
In fact, they only really look alike because they have similar hair. Esmé has a long face and a cruel smile, whereas Violet has a roundish face (in the most recent drawings, anyway) and a permanently depressed expression.

I didn't actually read his post, I just read the subject. I think. But I certainly didn't notice that he claimed that Esmé might be the Baudelaire mother. How ridiculous.
This is ridiculous enough to go in a ridiculous theories thread. But then again, philipjucker does seem a little bored today, what with the part where he resurrected a bunch of old threads in The Crisis Concludes, at least one of which was over a month old and had only one reply.

No need to be catty, Fight Fire with Fire, I was just stating that PERHAPS Esme was aViolets mother, not that she took care of her. Perhaps she just dropped Violet on the Baudelaires doorstep or something. Or maybe Esme is somehow related to Violet. And perhaps the person in the wedding dress( Esme wore one when she married Jerome!) was Esme, and that she will die in the 13th book or something. (I doubt this tho, Esme can't die!) Oh well. |

Well perhaps esme is a relative of the baudelaires and they don't know about it. Because Count Olaf was their relative, though distant but they didn't know who he was and he lived in the same city.

I don't think Olaf was actually related to the Baudelaires, he probably just faked a family tree so he could get their fortune. Or mebe, like, everyone in VFD is related to each other, even on good side and bad side....

I don't think everyone in VFD was related because beatrice and lemony were most likely in VFD and that means they'd be dating their relative

I suppose so, tho it hints that Olaf is related to Lemony...
Also, there is no actual proof (prove me wrong)
that Beatrice is VFD. Mebe she just became VFD cos she met Lemony....

If Esme were the Baudelaire mother, then wouldn't the children have noticed? Yes, they would have noticed already, and that would just be...wrong.  Yes, I must agree with FFWF on how they look. Esme and Violet only have the same hair, to my opinion. |

I don't really think they look that alike. Slightly, but not that much. Perhaps Esmé is related in some way, but how would she be related, would she be their aunt or something?

If Esme was Violet's mum etc...etc...then she may be with olaf to make sure the bau.'s come to no harm bcos she never actually kills them and she has taken a shine to sunny
though i doubt nearly all of that

I think she's definitely not the mom, thanks mainly to the "wouldn't they have recognized their own parent, even if she was in disguise?" factor, which also rules out Charles as the father(yes, people have put forth that theory).
